2:56 Best birthday present 😂 (Story time: this kinda reminds me of when we had a bomb threat at my school and in the first class the principal of the middle school said *“this is not a drill,* teachers *evacuate the building immediately* and head to the front field in a single file order” Everyone was so confused because we didn’t know what was happening and then we heard some 7th graders screaming and crying as we left. We stood outside for a while and then *the police* came and talked to the principals of the school. After, our delta coaches (middle school advisors ig) shushed us all and then an officer yelled because there was 200+ students here and told us to move farther to the edge of the field which was at a hill. At that exact moment my friend came to school because she was late and she was supposed to stay up on the hill instead of going down to her delta. At this point half of the middle school was crying including me and a bunch of other girls in my grade. Keep in mind that we were supposed to be setting a good example for the 2-13 year olds in the grades below but we *literally had a bomb threat* so I don’t think that we can be setting an example for them- 💀) *ANYWAYS* People brought their phones outside because they didn’t know what was happening and the vice principal (I think) was allowing us to call our parents with the phones, I couldn’t because I left everything I had inside and proceeded to hall my eyes out because I didn’t think my parents cared enough about me to pick me up since we live about 5 mins away from the school. I was wrong, one of my friends comforted me and we were all allowed to go inside which I was so happy about and we had a half day, so this started at around 9-10AM and finished at *12-* Oh!! And before I forget, on the field I overheard something about it being a gas leak but we didn’t know until the next day and the head of ms had an assembly for all of the 6-8th graders. I was late so I missed the start of this talk but to sum up the assembly, the head of ms explained that the person who threatened us was a teenager and was supposedly *“joking.”* wow. Also it was one of my classmates birthdays the day of the bomb threat- happy birthday I guess!! 😂 But the reason why we started receiving these threats is because we held a BLM protest in 2021 after the George Floyd incident. Everyone in the school participated which was from preschool-8th grade and we held up signs and walked around the block while people honked at us as a sign of support. It was pretty wholesome, *UNTIL ONE OF THE FACULTY UPLOADED SOME OF THE PHOTOS OF THE LITTLE KIDS MARCHING ONTO OUR SCHOOL INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT.* After it was posted, everyone in the comments were going ballistic saying that “this is so inappropriate” and “why would you make those poor kids do a March?!” And at the time I’m pretty sure I was 11 because I was in fifth grade but it got so bad that the senator of Texas (Senator Ted Cruz) responded to our post saying “this is what the kids of our future generations are learning.” And he said that in a bad way and now I’m pretty sure that our school’s reputation isn’t good anymore- 💀)
