Ashton no longer makes the Green Eagle. He stopped several years ago. There are used ones out there in really good shape.

Hi Greg I would like to get into ppg. I have watched a lot of your videos. You seem to have done your research and seem to be well informed. I really like the green eagle but recently saw your video on your falcon 4. I would really appreciate your input and opinion of which 4 stroke ppg you would suggest. I am 210lbs. 6 foot, athletic 62 year old. Thanks
@FreeAmericanSpirit5 жыл бұрын
I like both machines, it really would depend on your preferences. Either machine can accomodate your size and 210 pounds is not a big issue. You can drop me your phone number and id be glad to give you a call FreeAmericanSpirit@gmail.com Thanks for watching,liking and subbing....

Awesome video. The CG pins are 16,000 pounds double sheer. Wow you remembered a lot of stuff. Great video and a lot of info. Man that candy looks good in the sun. Fly safe my friend.

Do you still fly it? I'm looking for a used GE
@FreeAmericanSpirit4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Yes I still fly. Used GE's come up for sale every so often... Join all the PPG forums ans keep an eye out. Sometimes one will pop up on barnstormers... Good luck.

The big question, what did it set you back?
@FreeAmericanSpirit7 жыл бұрын
A Myers depends on which options you get. Bought mine a long time ago so it is better if you call Ashton to get prices in sure they have changed by now. At the time it was less than some other manufactures and at the time several of them did not even offer a quad or had smaller 2 stroke power plants that I didn't want. Sorry I can't answer your question better but you will have to decide on what it is you want then call around and see who offers the options you want. I didn't shop by price I shopped by quality and features...

Very nice video Greg. I fluctuate between 290 and 300 lbs? Will this machine get me off the ground? I don't even know how I came across this green eagle, but am really impressed.Did you get your training from them also and if so, do you get to train on their equipment? Also, Is your machine a loaded up version? Thank you and stay safe.

Chuck Mack Hello. I am between 260 and 300 pounds since I owned mine and it Flys me. I pretty much taught myself to fly and then later on I had a couple guys watch me and give me some pointers. with that being said I learn I am still learning. my advice would be to find someone as close to you as possible to learn from.. Ashton at Green Eagle is a great pilot and good teacher if you buy a bird he will teach you time/weather permitting. when I got up to 300 I had to do some up grades which you can get right from the beginning just tell Ashton to build you one like mine. #1 larger prop #2 get the model with the larger engine not the smaller fuel injected one. #3 larger wing. either the eu400/450 from Apco OR The Mac Pata T Ride. but those are both advanced wings so it would probably be better just to start off with a large safe beginners tandem wing... Ashton knows exactly what I have and what has worked for me over the years. once again traing saves a lot of time and aggrivation Thanks for the kind words. G

Hi Greg. Thanks for your video. Very well done tour of the Green Eagle. Would you get a quad again or do you think a trike is the way to go? Thanks, Joel
@FreeAmericanSpirit10 жыл бұрын
I have both. I prefer the quad it is a little more stable on the ground. The trike front end is a little better in the air, and is lighter, but I would rather have better ground handling. Just a personal prefrence.

Good catch Yes I realize that. The problem is I do these videos in one take, sometimes things come out backwards. Luckily people like you point out the occasional error. If I had more time I would make several videos and edit them, but that would be to much like work...;) lol

I don't work for GE or live in Texas. You will have to call him or get online to order something.

I LOVE the idea of using a four stroke over a rice burner. :-) My question though is does this meet US weight regs for an ultra-light? Just looking at the images makes me think the answer is no.
@FreeAmericanSpirit7 жыл бұрын
A Myers yes it does but you can easily add to many features and go over... Just as with any bird...
@FreeAmericanSpirit6 жыл бұрын
I go to many fly ins.. People are all ways working on 2 strokes never see a 4 stroke giving people problems... 4 strokes are much much more dependable. No one puts a Rotax on a PPG. If you Got the cash for a rotax then go ppc and get licensed and do the annual checkups etc...

Dude you make a better video than Ashton Brunner. GreenEagle in North Carolina here!
@FreeAmericanSpirit10 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the compliment. I try to do everything in one take so sometimes I have to make 2 or 3 videos to explain something. Ashton usually gets it done in one. How do you like your GE? I bet you get a lot more time to fly (better weather in CA verses NY) than I do. thanks for watching my video's welcome to the club.
@FreeAmericanSpirit10 жыл бұрын
I meant to say NC verses NY. WOW you have a ton of videos. How long have you owned you GE? What engine and prop do you have? What wing are you flying now?
@jeff2809210 жыл бұрын
sorry just now seeing this.. I have had the GE since jan 2009 an love it. I have the apco thrust chute and love it also. I do income taxes for a living so have 8 months out of the year for flying. yes NC gets sum great weather normally, but the last 2 summers have been cooler and wetter than I have ever seen.. jeff28092@youtube I wished I had more people in my area to fly with! ever passing thru NC lets fly!!

greg very nice presentation I am interested in getting into a quad 4 stroke eagle I fly a trike buggy bullet with a fresh breeze monster motor with nose pod wheel paints in a blackberry metalflake finish its beautiful but the toggle pressure is just too heavy and turns like a tank I was looking at paradrenalin carbon cruise trike only 30 lbs can be broken apart put in your car in its own case nice feature with a nirvana rodeo motor but now looking at the eagle I like this much better and will look into a 2016 or 2017 model my question to you is I am a former skydiver 48yrs jumping former special forces and military instructor both at the basic airborne school and at the military freefall school and as civilian instructing many yrs and competition judge have many world records state records blah blah blah all the awards and ratings good to impress first jump course students and that's about it as you know the longer you go thru a sport the more trinkets you attain of you are goal orientated, what wing do you fly I weigh in at 235lbs. and like to have fun in the air sprials not 2 minute turns how fast does the eagle respond how heavy is the goggle pressure and I like cross country type flights I like everything about the eagle and understand the technology and other things about it I have flown many different types of air craft from c-182 c 206 caravan beech d-18 twin otters an even douglas dc-3'a in my skydiving days I'd like to see your instruction video on assembly of the eagle if it gets shipped in a crate/box and why size canopy/wing do you fly and what is true air speed with the 4 stroke on aveage I know depending on head winds how much you play but in level flight again density altitude affects all this also but average ball park, how much runway needed to take off and land and what is max winds for no worrys of wing collapse..Thalnksskydivejohnny

Hi Johnny. Im glad you like the video. I dont sell the Eagle but you can call the guy who makes them. His name is Ashton. his site is: www.greeneagleppg.com his number is 1-210-724-5086 Just tell him I told you to call. it gets shipped on a pallet and is mostly assembled. You can watch my assembly video for tips, but it is pretty easy to figure out. I fly an Apco EU450 because of my weight , But you may get away with a EU 400, Macpara makes the T ride which is good. I would advise you stick with a beginner wing until you get the hang of it, regardless of experience. I dont do spins and spirals do I cant help you there... I fly very very conservatively once I get up to the altitude I want I pretty much head to my destination... as far as feild goes that depends on skill level, weight, wing,altitude, moisture, etc etc. While beginning A big square level field is best. If you have an= grass airstrip close by that is ok but stay away from Airports. hope this helps.

you use water and oil to run it, lol funny did any one else catch that.

Hlr Sgt 5 hahaha lots to remember back when I got her. I didn't realize I said water instead of gas.... Oh well
@Halliday78956 жыл бұрын
if it has a radiator it uses water for cooling and oil to lubricate... gas to fire....all them make it run.....But it looks to me that its air cooled....hard to see because its all tight angle shots.
@FreeAmericanSpirit6 жыл бұрын
No kidding? Obviously its a live video and I simply said water instead of gas by accident... Or is it that you 2 guys caught me? Yep I let the cat out of the bag, im the only guy with a engine that runs on gas, my top secrete military project has been exposed... Bummer ill probably have to face the firing squad...

Water injection into the engine air intake is pretty common since world war II.
