One hint on doing this level of cleaning... When you remove the CPU to clean it, put it straight back in the board. Those pins being out on show when cleaning and dusting other areas risks either something landing on the pin grid array and bending them, or dust getting in there and preventing a contact point. Always keep your CPU in the board when cleaning (ideally clean the board with the CPU in first, then after cleaning the CPU put it straight back) or use the CPU block cover that comes with the Motherboard if you kept it. Otherwise an excellent video and superb cleaning job.... now I gotta start on mine... again....

Any tips for cleaning Gpu's? I'm scared to touch my old gpu (In my brothers pc), scared to break it or else.
@sijedevos23763 жыл бұрын
It looks more fragile then it is. Only thing that can be a bit fragile is the cable for the fans but besides that you won’t easily break something if you don’t throw it around or something like that. Just follow a few disassembly guides for the exact model clean of the thermal paste/fans with ipa and blow out the heatsink with compressed air. After that screw it back together. For the 4 screw on the top of the gpu that are holding the heatsink stuck to the gpu die make sure you screw those in a cross pattern a few times until they are screwed down and not all at once so you get equal mounting pressure also don’t over tighten them. If it won’t screw further don’t force it.
