Great video. I think your term shear panel and “sheathing” might be interchangeable. I have limited experience framing so enjoyed learning the terms with clear arrows. Many say you have to hear and see thing 3X for the info stick with you. So excellent vid

i could be wrong but i recall a video saying not to use OSB because it falls apart when wet. Maybe it was another material i cant remember exactly.

8x10 shed im using only anchor bolts, no hold downs, pouring tomorrow so no time to add them. I guess i could convert some of my anchors to hold downs since anchors are strapped to rebar. I did remember to keep the anchors away from corners to give room for framing and they are not on any 16 inch mark 😁

My concrete (poured 2 days ago DIY job) is not perfectly level along the sill plate. About 3/4 inch gap some places. How do i fill that gap before placing the sill plate. It is 10x8 slab.

You might be able to use self leveling compound or wood shims. You could always cut each wall framing stud to fit.

Technically all exterior walls are shear walls when plywood is properly nailed. Trimmers are actually jack studs nailed to a king stud and a double sill is not necessary
