I'm not completely, But I think Daiki doesn't understand what it feels like to be genuinely loved by someone else + Daiki doesn't even care about his well being, so even if Daiki was in a situation where he was going to die, he wouldn't try to save his own life. I wouldn't even be surprised if Daiki committed suicide whenever he wanted to. ( Talking About Pink Boy )

My guess is that Daiki has never been loved throughout his entire childhood, so when Haru kissed Daiki and confessed to Daiki, he accepted Haru's confession on a whim or different reasons. So, at the start of the relationship Daiki faked his " happiness " Infront of Haru and said sweet-sounding lies towards Haru. But as the relationship progressed, Haru saw more of Daiki mental state and realized an important sad factor in their relationship. Though, despite his realization about the reality of their relationship, Haru tried to support Daiki as much as possible because Haru loved Daiki, causing him to save Daiki from death multiple times but since Daiki misunderstood that love, he didn't accept it. So, eventually over time both of them got into fights due to this reason, causing Daiki to end up " cheating " on Haru with another man. Even when Haru knew about Daiki cheated on him once, he kept enduring it just for Daiki's sake, yet over time more fights occured. In the end Haru asked Daiki for a breakup because of this one-sided toxic relationship that they had, and when the breakup happened Daiki finally understood what Haru was trying to do. ( This is just a theory, I could be wrong so anyone could correct me if they want to. )
