Great review, Norton. This "Devil's Odyssey" series reminds me of "The Metabarons" by Alejandro Jodorowsky and Juan Giménez. I've read a few issues of Grendel here and there over the years, but I've never really gotten into the property, probably because I've never really understood who or what Grendel was. But your explanation really helps.
