Grendel is an Italian band playing Viking/Black Metal with Folk Influences.
This song is from their only album "Beowulf" released in 2005 on Narok Records. The band has now renamed itself to Ild Dans.

Always found the idea of non Scandinavian bands singing about Viking stuff fucking hilarious. But fuck me these guys are awesome.

"Hilarious"...? "But"...? This is an Italian band having themes of Beowulf which is an Anglo-Saxon poem etc. Grendel is a character in it. No Viking about this or any of their other albums and i dont see why they call it Viking/Black with Folk on MA. Nevertheless there are non-scnadinavian bands who have viking theme, as well as there are for example scandinavian bands/what the fuck ever having Hellenic or Roman, Celtic themes or what the fuck ever. There is a German band called Thiasos Dionysos having Hellenic, Celtic, Nordic themes in it all. I see you are living in Ireland. And i guess you are Irish? Well if you are, then it must be really hilarious using the name Erebus - a Hellenic mythology character.
