I remember where I was when I heard about the Grenfell Fire. I live in America, but I'm fascinated by disaster response- The ins and outs of what makes disaster response successful. I was on vacation at Platte River State Park, sitting on the front step of the cabin my family had rented, using a bit of data on my phone to check something, I don't remember what, as the fire overshadowed it all. I knew it was bad just looking at the pictures as they were coming out. I knew people weren't making it out. The rescue personnel who attended this incident did the best they could with the information they had.
