I get a call from my step mom as I'm listening to it and she let me know my father who had been battling stage 4 kidney cancer just fainted in the parking lot and was being rushed to the hospital. He died from a heart attack a few days later. On his last day I played a bunch of his favorite songs the I played him this one right before visiting hours were over. He fell right asleep. My entire family stayed at the hospital till he passed. This was the only song that got me through this time. Still one of my favorites

I usually don't like songs that mention love or any kind of romance, but this song makes me feel things. Happy things. It's a culmination of everything I love in music, and it's just pure good vibes. It's hard to hate it, but it's not like I'd want to hate it anyway. Beautiful song

this is my one month olds favorite song. 🖤 any time he’s fussing, upset, momma turns his song on and dances with him while trying her best not to butcher his song as she sings it to him. this will always be his song. 🖤

When I hear this song it makes me think of seeing a childhood best friend for the first time in adulthood. That moment when you have to say goodbye to someone at an airport but also the moment you see them at the airport when they return and you run to them. A time you did something hard but walked away from whatever it was feeling powerful and you’re sad but you know you’re going to be ok. It feels like returning to something after long years of waiting but also leaving something behind to become more yourself.

LYRICS : Can you light my love? Flames glowing bright as the sun Deeper than oceans you run Watch as our world has begun Your mind is a stream of colors Extending beyond our sky A land of infinite wonders A billion lightyears from here now Whoa, light my love Whoa, light my love I have seen pictures of time The frames still in motion I find A grand revolution outlined Hate bound by fear will unwind Your mind is a stream of colors Extending beyond our sky A land of infinite wonders A billion lightyears from here now Whoa, light my love Whoa, light my love Oh-whoa Ooh Whoa, light my love Whoa, light my love Whoa, whoa Whoa, whoa Whoa, whoa Whoa, whoa Whoa ❤

I’ve listened to this song countless of times, just loving the way it sounds. I’m now listening to it after crying and the “your mind is a stream of colors” felt like it was telling me that and i smiled. like it was meant for me for a second- i dont know why it was like my mind put the spotlight on those words and made it a different perspective. normally i would listen to that line and think of no one, especially myself.

I’m going to date myself here. I graduated high school back in 1986. To me, LED Zeppelin is like a religious experience. A few years ago I was driving down the road and turned on the radio. At first I thought I was hearing a long lost Zeppelin recording airing for the first time. The song I heard that day was off the e.p. From The Fires and the song was Black Smoke Rising. My ears were tingling. All felt right with the universe. And I pondered. I could certainly hear the influences of delta blues and yeah, it kind of sounded like Robert Plant and Jimmy Page had started a new band. But the music kept going through me. And I knew it wasn’t Zeppelin. It was the Fleet. Anyone that says you guys ripped off Zeppelin or say that you aren’t original needs to have their head examined. I have spent days listening to both e.p’s and Anthem of the Peaceful Army and The Battle at Garden’s Gate. Wow, such talent and drive and different thinking than Page, Plant, Jones and Bonham. You guys have sure brought a smile to an old man’s face knowing that great Rock is still out there. Greta Van Fleet is now as much a religious experience as LED Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Queensryche. Thanks for the great music and keep it coming
