Yes you did, he should know if you’re the one even if it’s a future promise to get married. My husband and I met he was 19 me 21 and he knew he wanted me as his wife took 14 years till we got married to not get ourselves in debt. But it was our loyalty and bond that I knew was most important. And he kept his word. I didn’t force him or ask him.

Red Flag. When I started dating my now husband. He was in 1000% he even was going through stuff saw a pic of him and his ex and tore it up. She also messaged him once she found out he had a new gf and I told him you do what you want but if you message her cuz you want her it’s fine but I’m done. He never did because he knew what that relationship was like and wanted to see how our story would turn out.
