I'm 61 and have seen Zep, The Who, Pink Floyd, Yes, and many more bands from the 60's and 70's......these guys are legit. They crossover decades of music. The artistry and the legitimacy of a rock n roll band is if they can be considered relevant in any decade. GVF is for sure....

The best part about GVF is that you sit there in marvel in the talent...and then you remember they're just kids....there is still more to come from these guys and my guess is it will only get better. Yeah, definitely a Led Zeppelin influence, but its honestly an honor to be able to pull off Zep so well.

I heard that Robert Plant approves of them which is such a high honor for a band. I’m a huge Led Zeppelin fan but I’m only 19 so I will never see them perform together though I’ve seen Robert Plant in concert. Yeah, same here. These kids are going somewhere. Definitely. I don't mind the Zep comparisons at all, but it feels like since their first works ( which had very lyrically rich vibes) they feel emboldened enough to expand and be who they are. Critics and industry be damned; ALWAYS BE who you are, your tribe will find you. This sampling of the upcoming album is deep. I can't wait for April, now. Maybe it's a good omen, maybe 2021 will be better. Actually, I'm quite convinced '21 is bringing far better things, for those of us who are ready. GVF building the soundtrack for it is just the icing on the cake.

Greta Van Fleet in my opinion is one of the, if not „THE“ most important Rock Band of this Age- The 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, were packed to the brim with unbelievably good Music and Bands- there are amazing songs an bands today, but only a few, such as Greta Van Fleet, can still give me the vibe these decades provided!
@TimesCondensedCum
@TimesCondensedCum 4 жыл бұрын
If you mean most important rock band to come out in recent years, I could see that. They're definitely talented. They still have A LOT of growing to do to be truly innovative. People have been trying the whole 70s rock revival thing since the early 00s and hell I think The Pretty Reckless has done the best job and deserved the hype. I think GVF is on the right track with this new angle they've taken. Their first album sounded like they took influence from maybe 2-3 bands. This sounds... more sonically diverse and progressive. I think that, depending on how this whole new album will be, they will have something truly special if they keep moving this way

I've been wondering how they're going to pull it off live. There's a lot going on behind the surface of vocals, guitar, bass and drums. Hate to see them have to start using backtracks and additional musicians are probably out of the question after not touring for a whole year. I'd love to see them work with the locals for each concert venue, pull in a small choir and maybe some strings and a booming English horn like you hear in the outro.
