I completely disagree. Gretchen and the band are totally in sync throughout the entire song. I encourage you to listen to more of her performances to appreciate her rhythmic concept. And I very much doubt if any of them had taken any alcohol.

Don't think booze would make em play this tune at this tempo. They sped this up quuuite a lot. Hmm.

I don't want to sound negative but I'm not impressed at all at this performance. Save for Taylor Eigsti's great piano playing, Gretchen's flat on the melody and the drummer overplays never quite locking in to the tune. The phrasing and vocalizing meanders quite a bit. I must be used to the level of Djavan's singing and musicianship.
