that's gotta be hard to fingerstyle with the spacing...I have that Gretsch and a Bass VI and dig their bass tone with guitar playability-but with a pick, like when I play a bass.

I'll admit that it was difficult at first but I persisted because I knew if I could nail this technique on a VI, the instrument would be of greater value to me. The trick was to not try to have your finger directly in front of the string. It's better to have it rest on top and strike at an angle. It makes the narrow spacing less of an issue and still produces the same results sonically.

@@ashgonza92 I think it probably took me about 2-3 months to really nail it and get comfortable with it. It was well worth the effort.
