All about the player the drums are insignificant at this level
@jas_bataille2 жыл бұрын
@@policeluber6720 Not really, no. Not when you're touring and recording all the time and need something that will always tune extremely well, stand the rigours of touring, look classy, and give you all the back-line support you need. On the contrary - what drums you play don't matter when you study and develop your skills. Sure, all those players would sound great on anything - but in actuality, the higher you go, the more it matters.

I have played drums for over 50 years. I am now 70's, but have been playing Gretsch (because of Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones). I would choose a Gretsch drum ALL in that beautiful Teal color. The black is OK, but solid Teal...WOW! Love the sound of Gretsch drums. Brian - Manzanita acoustic band - Las Vegas, NV

Love the traditional 1960's sizes: 5.5 x 14 snare, 14x22, toms 8x12; 9x13; floor toms 14 x 14 & 16 x 16; 14x22 BD. Just got a mini Gretsch snare drum for use in the acoustic band. Love the darker wood finishes. Miss Mr. Charlie Watts a lot (Rolling Stones). He is my Gretsch hero! Brian Gardner - Manzanita acoustic band - Las Vegas, NV

Great content. I appreciate videos of this quality are expensive to do and require lot of logistics but this is such a nice way to promote the new products. At this time of the year ,you would normally be listening to small talks from a NAMM booth in a loud environment where you can't actually listen to the products .

I'm tempted to hang my toms on the RIMS from the bottom lugs as does Gergo Borlai. At the very least, it would make batter head changes a breeze and might further improve the drums' resonance.

Perhaps respect Keith's possible health problems and focus on his spectacular drumming. He probably misses gigging dearly. I feel sorry for him, a drummer of this calibre and master. Ill be buying his snare. Also please can you consider doing more of a car colour on the renown kit. Id be down with a Tony Williams yellow instead of the Oyster.

I’d like to know if I could order a Phil Collins kit. Concert Tom kit. To his specifications for recording. If so, please let me know who to contact at Gretsch . Thank you !
@Theratron3 жыл бұрын
I know they at least still do the black nitron wrap, so that's still available. And they recently made a new kit for his son (in white, and with the round badge instead of the square one). So I'd say it's definitely possible. Maybe contact a well known retailer such as Drum Center Portland or Sweetwater and ask them to get in touch with Gretsch for you?

I'm Gretsch all the way but I think they messed up on the color of the 57 renown. The original colors were better because they had retro car colors. No cars had that oyster color. If they did the retro colors I would have bought one for sure.

because the time has come...... everybody sold his 1990's drums and ran out of piccolos ........ another possibility to sell some snares........if enough of the big stars of drumming are playing them the huge mass of drummers will follow and the high snare drum sound will be hip again......
