Lyrics:
Sometimes, things just seem to fall apart
When you least expect them to
Sometimes you want to pack up and leave behind
All of them and all their smiles
I don't know what to think anymore
Maybe things will get better
Maybe things will look brighter
Maybe, maybe, maybe
Sometimes, people surprise you
And people surprise me
Well I guess that's the price we pay
For wanting so badly
I don't know what to think anymore
Maybe things will get better
Maybe things will look brighter
Maybe, maybe, maybe
I don't know what to think anymore
Maybe things will get better
Maybe things will look brighter
Maybe, maybe, maybe
I don't know what to think anymore
Maybe things will get better
Maybe things will look brighter
Maybe, maybe, maybe
Sometimes, sometimes, sometimes

On a personal note, while I didn't watch the full video, I listened to this song while I was depressed over and over again, and I honestly felt like death was my only option, and then my mom came into my room and I said even with today, Chester's music is so powerful and so she responded: That's why it's important to never give up, you never know who's life you'll affect, and now here I am at 4:52pm crying not because of the video but because of how true it is. Chester's music with Linkin Park and Dead by Sunrise always made me feel happiest and like I wasn't alone, and after hearing about Chester's passing, it's been 3 years and I can never get over it, his legacy lives on, Chester will always be in our hearts. ♥️

I’ve written this comment so many times n deleted it cos I didn’t know really what to say. There are so many of us including me who have been at the end you are not alone. More than anything that’s what you need to know, you are not alone, also your not wrong the world is shit n awful it’s set up totally wrong n that’s why a lot of ppl hate it. Reach out n find someone, do anything, there is an entire community behind you, just please don’t give up. Life can be shit but it can be amazing too n the next corner can turn your life around. I hate how trite that sounds but it’s true cos I’ve lived it. Do not give up

@@emmamorgan4688: Sadly it's not the world that's the problem, it's the humans that decide to do stupid things :/ but in everything else you said, you're right, we can't just give up because of an illness or ppl bothering you. You gotta ignore the idiots out there and focus on yourself and your family and friends that are there for you. Sure knowing the truth could hurt, but before things get better, it always gets worse first. We build it up, we Burn It Down and we build it back up again so we thrive and live happily as much as we can and try to help out others. In the end it's the life we've lived that makes us happy with ourselves when it's time to go. So you live the lives you've been given and pray that you'll be happy before ya'll humans die old or whatever ills you. This message is for everyone that comes by. The reason why I said "ya'll humans die" is because I'm not human, but I don't care if you believe me or not because I know the truth of the spiritual side, the truth only *I* decided to truly search for. If you want to know go ahead, depending on who you are. you may or may not like the answer. After all we all are different by our choices and organs, not our skin, and not our skeletons. Be kind and be good to yourselves as well. See ya'll later and have a good day/night :3 -The Fallen Angel in disguise who really loves to help and see ppl smile about the good things in life(despite being hurt myself. If you want the story, find me anywhere but irl) -[minecraft, YT, the only online things I'll ever touch again]-

Definitely. The 90s - 00s generations were blessed with some of the greatest voices in rock music. I say this as a guy born in '63, Chester's voice, presence, and lyrical prowess reached across generations. He sang what many of us felt. His struggles mirrored our own. Chester was one of us. Because of that, his death has hit hard than any other musician's passing, even Bowie's. We grab hold of every song, every new release of Chris's outside projects. His legacy is cemented in stone and carried in his fans. It will last as long as there is music.

same, but he's gonna go back to Heaven. I mean, that's good. I just wish I could've met him before he.... T~T the fact that a lot of the songs he sung in both bands represent my life just as well breaks me even more than his death because I know what plane(NOT the planes we ride on) he's on and where he'll go thanks to Father(God). Being connected like this to everyone makes my emotional and mental state go crazy, especially since my connection with Chester and Mike has leveled up to the point where I can feel more than just their souls and emotions, and the fact that the emotions get stronger like that. I don't know what to do about this, I can't even do anything without listening to his songs first... I'm lost and yet I know how to help others, but not myself :( Do you guys think you could give me some advice? and yeah, I'm pretty depressed, and it's not just Chester's death, Mikes feelings, and my disease. It's about the truth of the spiritual side of life, who/what I am, What I've Done. Oh my gosh I'm doing it again and it's not even on purpose XD I'm putting the songs that represent my life in my comments asking for help and helping others lol But anyways, it's just being Alone in knowing this truth hurts and the only one who would really understand are the one that actually went through it like I did, my fellow fallen angels. Lucifer has been by my side since the beginning, I found one other fallen angel but because we love each other so much God said we'd have to wait a couple years. After all I'm 18 he's like i dunno, 17? 16? So, there are many universes besides the parallel, 7 main universes, and infinite branch ones and so all of the fallen angels have been scattered across the universes and I can't even take care of myself for more than five days because of this stupid disease and the idiots that decided that stealing medicine was a good idea because they somehow got addicted to it and so my medicine is limited and I'm not even sure if he alone can take care of me. I'm surprised even after five years of the first time seeing each other he still loves me to this day. He's the first young man to ever love me like this, he cares, he worries, and doesn't want to lose me I can tell, and I don't want to lose him either. Oh no, I'm getting sidetracked again..... uhm, would you like to know the truth of the spiritual side of life?

Amazing how a 19-20 year old Chester sounds exactly the same. Most of the time when you hear old recording of big bands the vocalist goes through a period of trying various styles. Also, his topic choices in lyrics scanned his entire career. Even if Mike wrote many of them, Chester was his point of inspiration.

I remember when I heard “Sometimes” it hit me in such a profound way. I couldn’t stop listening to it ... It is crazy how much I can relate to the lyrics of this song. I love what you guys did for this version of Sometimes along with the video. Chester would be proud... Chester truly had a way with words and he was always good at making sure you felt that raw, real emotion and he made sure to say the things that others struggle everyday to say but are in their heads about. His music was his therapy & in a sense it is also therapy for many of us. Thank you Chester for sharing your gift with the world & thank you Grey Daze for making this all possible!!!🖤🖤🖤

All the work you guys (and all the people involved) have put into this is reflected in how it sounds, specially in comparison to the original. Thank you so much for putting this together, guys. And the video hits really hard (almost cried). It's a great idea there. Definitely going to buy this album.

In the start of the video on the browser the search results are about how to feel happy being alone. This fact is totally underrated. Mental Health is something that you need to talk about and reach out to people for and it gives you comfort to think that there’s someone looking out for you and that you’re not alone. But what’s equally important is that you need to build yourself up from the inside even if you’re alone. You need to build your will power, determination and belief that good things will happen to you and the past is gone. External support helps to a great extent, but in the end it’s you who has to win it
