@@rockboy360 Well, Linkin Park wasn't in the way. In an interview, Chester said they'd never have mainstream success or sell enough to live off of Grey Daze which is why he gave up on it and started a business in his home town (and did quite well for himself, he owned 2 houses). Few years later he found Mike's ad and decided to give him a call, Mike was surprised at how fast Chester was able to respond with a demo and wanted him to come there ASAP. 10 months later, they were famous.

The mixture that made up Linkin Park was a perfect fit. They perfected hip hop, rap, rock. But given exposure and time NO DOUBT Grey Daze would of been huge! Linkin Park started a new genre and rocked the world! Everyone like a rock song with a dope beat! Come on!

I listened to this Grey Daze album for the first time 5 days before Chester's death. I don't even know why, I had it in my music library for a few months but I decided to listen to it just now... Also had some kind of dread feeling but that kind of early 90s music often sounds like this to me.
