I was and still am a MerDer person, but I'd rather see her with Alex in the end than with Riggs or anyone else they randomly throw in here. And Alex should be with someone who completely understands him and why he does what he does and who doesn't constantly question, accuse or berate him for that. Nothing he's ever done has scared Meredith away. Even when he got her fired, she forgave him. The pairing wouldn't just benefit Meredith; it would benefit Alex, too. Meredith and Alex wouldn't be a bad thing. Plus, I'm not a Jo fan, which is a personal preference. I understand why others like her, but I just never could. So, yeah, I love this AU pairing of Merlex, whether it becomes canon or not.
