“Panhandler’s tune” or something like “Handler’s Whistle” - as you go back and forth through your pattern (perhaps along the story) their is this imagery of someone walking and reciting the melody. From the moment I have heard your music, I’ve been enthralled with all the work you’ve created and collaborated with others through the years. I have to say this “ one on one “ feeling you get from this video is awesome and hope you do more like this! Thank you for sharing a moment of your time.

The Grey Whistle...it's an afternoon's walk down an idyllic country lane in the Autumn. Coming into the village, you enter a cottage and are greeted with a cuppa and a sweet biscuit. On the table is a bunch of late asters in a glass of water, they catch the late sun in a golden grey beam that fades as the decision to stir the fire and light the lamps is made.

absolutely lovely and full of so much emotion-of a delicate kind, kind of bittersweet somehow. Some images or thoughts came to to me. The bittersweet part seems to do with the lightness of enjoying life but knowing it will end. So maybe "ephemeral" or 'ephemera". or "carpe diem". The other that occurred to me is that it feels like dawn. In classical Greek writing there was a phrase used, particularly known in Homer's Odyssey , which was "rosy-fingered dawn". that was the phrase for sunrise. that might be a nice name. for some reason i don't like grey whistle because "grey" conjures dullness, and there is nothing dull about the song.

Ahh, thank you for mentioning that! I was trying to remember the name of that tune (and the band for that matter). Also if your a fan of that, someone here on YT created this dual tribute video where they used vintage footage of The Dave Brubeck Quartet and the music sounds like them playing it. They never played the song for real, yet the video is quite good. It's a pretty cool alternative to the original : )
