War in America didn’t start until December 1941. The marines didn’t serve in Britain until earl 1944 and that was only a platoon of them at most. Great story though. Little more research into the war bit would be better though. The draft (selective service) the didn’t even begin until 16 September 1940. That required all males between 21-45 to register to be drafted.

WW2 Germany didn’t have an MG 43. They had MG 34’d and MG’42’s. no such thing as a German MG 43, that’s what I meant by a little research. The MG 42 didn’t see service until may 1942.

Interesting story, but some mistakes as usual being from someone without knowledge of firearm history. The British and later the Allies supply all Resistance groups with firearms that could use captured German ammunition and this meant predominately 9mm Luger ammo. They would not have been supplied with British .303 carbines because it would be impossible to get .303 ammo except from direct supply from Britain. Same with the Thompson submachinegun because the Thompson SMG used the .45 ACP which ONLY the US used and the SMG was so expensive to make and in such scarce numbers even the British pulled them from their own units (much to the anger of British soldiers who like them). They would not have 1911 because it too used the .45 ACP ammo. What any resistance group would had been supplied were Stens and Browning Hi-Power pistols or in rare cases Polish Radom vz35 pistols.
