YG would never release a song that they had not asked permission for and paid the artist involved. The fact that Pon De Replay was released in 2005 and BLACKPINK were not launched until 2016. Already bringing fresh ears to Rihanna's old music and that's how you get the oldies getting new fans. This is their pre release for the album which drops next month and the month after they go on tour. I am waiting for the tickets to drop for London.

I really enjoyed this song as well. The term 'comeback" means something a bit different in South Korea. "Comebacks" happen typically every year (in some cases multiple times a year) and it is more like "new releases" from an artist's latest album/mini album. It does not mean that a group broke up or went on hiatus or fell out of favor/haven't had a hit in ages or anything that the word might otherwise imply in other regions. In the case of Blackpink, however, they haven't released a new album in quite a long time (by South Korean standards, 2020 for their last normal album, 2021 for a live release) so it fits both definitions, sort of, but it is mainly the South Korean definition. Stray Kids should have another "comeback" this year sometime in the fall and they already released a full album (Oddinary), a Japanese album (Circus), and a single (Time Out), so you can see how often "comebacks" happen.

I enjoy Blackpink’s Bside tracks the most, all the titles are more about representation of their concept, and how they experiment music and sounds. But all their B-side are just on another level. In K-pop a “comeback”’is the next album or song .. most Kpop groups comeback a couple times a year, BP is more like 1-2 years between, but mostly bangers. Jennies (in red) first line of the song was referencing Chanel(CoCo), she’s an ambassador and it’s a runway verse overall .. the instrument in the open is a traditional Korean one, and Jisoo (one of the members) is playing it .. also, in Lisa’s rap she refers to Celine, she’s their main ambassador (Jisoo is a main for Dior and Rose for YSL) … their brands often provide outfits for videos

The people who requested it will request it the whole time and if it is not done being upset as well, at least I could imagine them being upset for not taking the request. Well your grandmother wasnt wrong though, sometimes it is better not to say anything but sometimes you should even if some people get pissed because they dont agree. It just depends what it is about. I honestly dont see an issue with his video at all or better said with his comment that he didnt like a certain song as much as other people do. He took the request of some people and said to them what he thinks which is totally fine. He gave his opinion to those people who asked for it. Depending on the context it can even become a duty to do so ... that s why I narrowed my opinion from the beginning to the "YT reaction world". In this context and in the context of him trying to grow his channel it is absolutly counter productive to post negative reactions EVEN IF it is requested ...why? ... because you have a real high chance to "scare" away possible subscribers. So, what is the situation here? He took a request from someone: if it is a randon request from a random person then why post this instead of the 1.000.000+ other possible songs on internet? if it is a patreon or paying sub then, well, I dont think it is a good marketing move to post a negative reaction. Secondly it is an art to say that you do not like something without sounding like a "hater". The most popular reactors are those who at least have a good "diplomatic" skill. Unfortunatly it doesnt seem to be a skill this reactor has. I do get what you are saying, but I think it is generally a "risk" when its about subscribers. I personally rather have someone who tells how he feels and I think he wasnt disrespectful at all then all those fake reactions to gain subscribers. Most of the time certain songs are requestes A LOOOOT. And people will not leave you alone till you react to it and post the video. Tbh the whole social media culture in general is way to sensitive ...thats how I see it a lot of times when I read comments.
