Hi Andy, great video as always. I have been using your videos as my main source of information to teach myself how to fly fish the rivers. I have been fly fishing for almost a year but only started river fishing about a month ago. Hi Andy, great review. I bought a Greys Fin kit about a 6 weeks ago and it's been fine but I found that the tippet ring was sharp as well. Thankfully I test all my knots and didn't find out on the bank!

Andy wherever you are! I have been fishing Grey's reels for quite a few years now. I know they are not the best reel out there, but a cassette reel, made out of cast aluminum that survives year after year with me, is a good reel. I've never fished their rods before but I will definitely put them on my list of Euro Rods to buy. When it comes to cork, while I like it, I have a Reddington with a synthetic handle that I purchased a few years ago. It does not look like cork, it looks like the material on a good tennis racquet and it only takes a short time to get used to the feel. I am quite interested in the ten foot so thank you for your review!

The Euro Nymph hype is real. Decided to go with the Hanak Wave Nymph 3100 instead of the Greys Fin (around the same price point with the Hanak reel and line, and it took a month to get through customs from the Czech Republic and a 60 quid customs bill). I'd been fishing the River Aln with my 7ft orvis superfine with sparse results, little dinks here and there, missing a load of takes. The first day I went down and nymphed it with the Hanak Wave I was into PB after PB, the most fun river fishing I've had in a long time! It turns out the larger wild brownies have incredibly subtle takes only a nymph rod can feel. Couldn't actually believe how proficient this method is. Cheers!

Andy i would say 6013 nymph. thank,s for the review the only thing I found was, as I hold the rod very close to the reel set and I have a tended to undo the locking ring with the side of my hand.I have used it on the River Dee (Welsh). Have had instant successes on both gralying and brown trout

that's easy to answer Andy ... not as many as IB has 'borrowed' 🤣Its good to see manufacturers doing things like this as it may just help encourage a few younger anglers into the sport without their parents spending an arm and a leg ... that has to be good. Interesting about your comments on the Cork handle ... I know a lot of rods these days are EVA and personally I don't mind them(talking about proper rods here ... you know the sort you use for Pike and Perch 🤣) so is it just a traditional thing with the cork?
