Ok lads, so I read some comments and the cause of death being N/A does make sense in terms of it being...they just arent dead lol. Thats an L on my end, BUT what still is true, is the lores still dont tell you shit about the person, and all but like 4 of them dont even have names. Also I tried looking for secrets but I couldnt find anyone so me searching was just cut from the video. But yes the N/A I will take the L for.

mopple dm'd you about the secret characters but ill tell you now for the first one, go into the settings and turn on dark mode, then put down effect 2, effect 3, melody 3 and voice 4 for the second one, simply place voice 1 on voice 2 or vice versa

n/a doesnt automatically mean "i don't know/unknown", it means "non applicable" which means that "cause of death: n/a" means that there is no cause of death -- they're alive this is easily one of the most frustrating things for story in both neester's takes and the story itself, since while he's right you don't get a lot (especially skipping 2 entire polos) he's also just very wrong about a lot of it since he's not fully realizing it's from the perspective of ray (who is alive) while still acknowledging things like "oh, ray is written in first person. so the guy speaking is ray? that's probably why he sounds so weird" and its like holy shit yes you're onto something only for him to kinda not put two and two together that the information is unknown because ray doesn't know it, so he can't write it

Thats neesters biggest problem, he skips polos because he finds them too scary of offputing, like yeah thats kinda be point. Neester also rushes alot and never seems to stay quiet long enough to let the viewers listen to the polos without neester (seemingly) trying to push his comedy into everything, he doesnt stop and think and just seems to try and rush the video as fast as possible.

It feels kinda childish to say "lore tells nothing" since it's designed to be a mystery that you can piece together by yourself, not just a stupid story to tell. I'm glad this mod doesn't just say "yea the guy died and his eyes were removed lol" but instead makes it an interesting mystery. Hopefully the next version can expand on this universe.

yeah while i think stories like Orin Ayo are cool with the intricate lore and interesting/grotesque deaths, if every story were like that, it wouldn't be cool anymore. not every horror story needs to be all "RAHHH GORE AND DEATH AND MURDER" in your face for it to be scary, it can just be mysterious and eerie.

Random take about the lore part of this: I think why there’s so little known about the characters and only a few fleshed out ones is because the main protagonist barely knows anything himself. Like, he can’t talk to most of them or some are just very dangerous to be around, so he’s just guessing at what happened. I don’t know- kind of made it a little more cool in my opinion, or more realistic if you were thrown into a Limbo. You would probably have no clue what was happening or who anyone was- so you just try to slowly piece things together as you go Maybe I’m looking to far into this, but that’s what I got from it- It would have been cool if they tried to do like updates to said notes about people to make it seem more like that- Anyways yeah, mod was good! But I agree that the lore part probably needed to be worked on a bit.

Played the mod myself. Here's what I've gathered: Ray entered the world through the TV. The world is called 'Limbo' but this doesn't mean that it's the concept of Limbo. He encountered some cultists and various seemingly dead bodies as well as a few helpful individuals and started recording information about the land. The last voice is a rather powerful being who is self aware and is able to see outside of the confines of the game. The 'waters' of Limbo aren't water. Cultists are violent enough to cause the death of Effect 3. I don't know about the rest of you, but I feel this is a perfectly suitable Episode 1 to a world that gives just enough information to be interesting and have me anticipating a part 2

I always liked the original Greyscale, but this one is completaly top-tier, like, WHAT HAPPENED? How that cool mod turned into one of the best mods ever? I don't mind if the lore suck, for me, lore is the extra, if the lore is good, is nice. Like the majority of the mods have no lore, we play mod to see how good it looks and thr music. The lore helps to make the mod more mermorable and it's polos, but I don't think that it's a obligation

hello hi it's me i voiced the lore docs!! i joined really late in development but as far as i know the lore wasn't our main focus like, at all. if im being completely honest i love both mopple and wyrm but i feel like the lore shouldve either been expanded upon or nonexistant. who knows, maybe i'll continue the story personally but i don't really know. aside from that it seems you enjoyed the mod, sorry the lore shot it down for you though :(

Disagree with me but I love the lore and audios format. The audio while maybe not super clear, it works. It feels like you are going around and picking up leftover audio clips. Like old audio clips that have been laying there for god knows how long. Someone said this before but the lore feels kinda nice. It feels just vague enough. Like reading a journey with drawings done by the guy. You are learning with him about what these creatures are. Would more info have been nice, yeah but it leaves lots of room to make up your own story.

I dont think it was "lore" per say but rather like a diary of sorts instead of telling you outright it's what Roy infers about the people . So, from what Im assuming is that those documents are made from the boy Roy, himself. Of course he doesn't know how everyone died, hes just seeing these people and documenting his thoughts about them. Shooting it down cause of its different take on information is kinda smelly. Otherwise, It is the best music I've heard for a horror mod. Also, the fact that it's themed in a personal take on limbo is great and I'd say definitely something new. a lot of people see limbo as a barren wasteland while the creator sees it as a sea of despair and agony, it's an interesting take on the topic of such a place.

I honestly like how the lore was executed. It's as vague as it is because of it being told through Ray's eyes who is just a seemingly regular guy who found himself in an unknown evironment. A nice take on sharing the lore for a scary mod, and it has the added bonus of a voice (in the mod, it's meant to be Ray) reading the info about each polo. As Ray knows next to nothing about Limbo unless he were to explore and ask those he sees about it, the lack of info provided for each makes more sense

I think the audio is low quality on purpose, like it’s supposed to be like analog horror or something similar to that. Also I agree that having no cause of deaths for most of them is kind of lame. Some I sort of get like the vhs or mannequin cause they’re objects and most likely didn’t have a death, but with some of the others, I get how it can become kind of repetitive. I still enjoyed it though cause the music and designs made it better. Maybe the lore will get better in the future. I have some more thoughts, but this is long enough lol.

So......there has been an update on the mod. And the creator fixed the 2 not appearing. First one is Morigan, She is an old crusader and she tells him that she has "been through a lot". She just gives proper information which is not said and she ain't hostile. The other is just named plague which is basically a corpse and just describes what happened. Edit: 2 secrets. One is when you put both halves together which turns him whole. The second secret is enabling dark mode and used all the ones highlighted in grey instead of black. you get a new character known as Munsch who is basically the most wholesome creature in limbo.

Limbo is a place between life and death where the people are there with no knowledge of what they've done before they are judged so the N/A makes sense for the story as most people in limbo wouldn't know their cause of death.
