This Danelecto vibe is a good progression for Grez; in fact, if I ever do opt for a regular mendocino (seriously considering one a few years from now) I may go for a lipstick-tube & double-cut option instead of the goldfoils (which I'll save for the baritone version). I love Danolectros and Silverstone and kays- this is an improvement on that design for sure- doesn't have a wide range of sounds but that doesn't matter because the one basic sounded it's got is Kick-Ass! Lest Hutton fiddling with knobs looking for a good tone and more time playing with the good tone that's already there

Yes, generally the short scale is sort of fatter sounding and the long scale more brash.
