See, the vortex of chaos that surrounds Grian occasionally warps the universe around him in whatever way would produce the most chaos. In this case, it's upsetting the entire balance of power in Minecraft PVP by allowing him to successfully ambush and kill Dream, inducing mass confusion and hysteria. This fulfills the requirements for the chaos vortex, making such a strange event not only possible but even probable. Note: this probably will not happen again, due to the nature of the chaos vortex. If Grian could do this consistently it would mean that he would simply take a new place in the hierarchy of PVP, which would actively REDUCE chaos. Obviously the chaos vortex will not allow this to happen.

The thing that I love most about the Mycelium Resistance is that it can be seen in 2 ways: 1. Grian is getting revenge on Scar for beating Mumbo at the elections by not only driving him mad but also making Mumbo the leader of the resistance (without Mumbo knowledge (or consent), of course) 2. Grian had long since decided that it would be fun to cause a governmental collapse, but to do so there must first BE a government, hence the elections. It was all part of his master plan, the reason for all of this ? IT WAS THE PRINCIPLE!!!!!!!
