I think he loves the "sharing is caring" mentality, but for the game it's better to not have it there. The main reason being that it encourages greed and staying a bit longer in the dungeon just to pick up an extra coin or two.
@blackholevortex Жыл бұрын
Might be, yes. He mentioned that he wanted to fix it earlier, but since he hasn't changed it yet (it would be a relatively easy fix I think, depending on the design) he might have changed his mind? I guess what it does is basically change the system from "4 coins for a crown" to "every coin has a 25% crown chance" (but with some guaranteed crowns when having lots of coins) I expect the pay-it-forward to stop in like week 4, when it gets properly competitive.

Can hardly call it a minigame it's just a game, straight up - it's not a minigame within minecraft, minecraft is just the engine, for this other game I can't really think of a universally well known game to use as an example but it's about the equivalent of Spyro or Portal being called minigames for being in an engine which runs them This isn't an arcade machine, this took more dev time than some actual games (not that that says much considering..)

I think the poison spiders are a bit much to be honest, they are SO powerful when you don't have gear or the like, and not being allowed to attack back makes them pretty much fatal, even if the poison doesn't normally kill you on the difficulty setting. I hope there is a way to counter them spawning or some other mechanic in play, otherwise, I think maybe 'harder' settings should be the only times they could show up. (if hazard block includes a way to literally shut them off, then everything is already working as-intended, and players simply 'aren't ready' for Dungeon Level 2" yet.) @39:50 - that last run was BROKEN - all the cards to play down there on your map. (normally your cards show up, and disappear, right? so little blips of cards vanish off that cards section, but notice at the START there are 10x as many cards as you actually own!)
@thunderblaze9997 Жыл бұрын
The spiders are balanced out by them being easily avoidable; they only spawn in that one room and they don’t leave unless they’re chasing someone. Most players only fall for that room once. There’s also many ways to get around the spider room, so you never have to go there if you don’t want to. And if a skilled player takes the optimal route through the spider room without getting stuck in the webs, they’ll always make it through unscathed. Also, yes the card counter on the map is broken. It’s slowly been getting worse throughout the 1st week and you can see that in Grian’s runs.
