A Grid fan, since the beginning of Grid, but adding new things don't hurt as long as they keep what worked before in or slightly modify to where it doesn't upset traditional fans. They should add a Track Creators, and maybe upgradeable car parts.

How about this, endurance races are 24 minutes long - each minute being an hour in game, and implement a day and night cycle through the race.

That's really short. Have you played Test Drive Unlimited? They had races over an hour long (in Ferrari's), which was just one lap of the circumference of the island! That was great driving. I'll be off to buy Grid 1 again.

Eric Tan Me too, but Slightly Mad decided to do a free racing MMO World Of Speed which looks like a simulation but with an arcade feel. I don't know why they didn't create another Shift with a different name since they left greedy EA, but I guess I'll still play World of Speed when it arrives soon

Game should punish player very strongly for ramming in other car, at least in multiplayer. Cause multiplayer in both series was too much chaotic.

I just say Milano and pretty much every first corner of every track. There weren't many players left when i played the Lacetti/BMW cups and sometimes there where some with speed hack players that only punished those drivers who rammed and drive in the opposite direction. It was fun with the samll number of people because we knew each other but its sad that the community has to use hacks to make a proper race happen.

Looks great of course, but it's sad that we will never return to the feel of the original Grid. I just remember falling in love with that game playing the online demo so much. I played so much and just owned at it! I'll never re live those amazing times, but I'm glad they happened!

Happy to see the classic Grid tracks back. I personally wasn't keen on the Grid 2 tracks. I do wish they would put more of a variety of cars into the touring car races, there are at least 11 different cars in the BTCC

im not sure about pit stops, but now it will be possible to do practice and qualification before races, just check out this article(below) for more details , i guess pit stops could be possible during endurance races, they also mentioned that grid autosport will feature tyre wear "If you find yourself racing on an unfamiliar circuit or route then simply head into practice and spend some time on the track. After practice you can jump into qualifying where, as you’d expect, you’ll be able to set your fastest time with the aim of starting higher up the grid come race day." source:blog.codemasters.com/grid/04/introducing-grid-autosport/

Cockpit view it's not the only problem in GRID 2 , but rather the Tokyo Drifting physics in the game , GOD ! I mean seriously you just turn slightly harder with your car it tends to oversteer , and you literally drifting throughout the entire damn game. I sort of lost fate in GRID series, and this actually looks more dull than GRID 2 , with racing games that's coming like ( even though one is sort of an Arcade style ) The Crew , and Assetto Corsa , I think I might save money and place those as a more priority game to get. But Im not just gonna look away from GRID Autosport , but I will only get this game after some good hours on a Demo or something before I decide....

Looking forward to this! It's a little sad that they are removing liveries from the offline career-mode, but then again it might be fun to race along (instead of against) Rick Scott for a change, as long as i won't have to race Nathan :D Also it's nice to see them returning to the motor sport focus instead of the whole street racing thing - loved the old Race Driver: GRID and the sort of semi-sim feel it had to it, so I can't wait to play the new one :D

looks like an all round good game, i don't plan on going for xbox 1 or ps4 so this works for me. and i cant wait for its release, my birthday is about 2-3 weeks after it comes out so i will only ask for this game. im glad we get the cockpit cam back and some open wheel though i think for demo derby they should allow all cars and have drivers choice. could be fun if you and your friends had an open wheel derby

"A little bit of drift" C'moooon drifting in GRID 1 was sick, in 2 it was pretty shit... Please tell me in the 3rd game they fixed it up. The MAIN reason I played GRID to begin with was that it had good drifting. Despite grid 2's fail at it the Silvia s15 is my most used car cause I just love ripping it up around the corners.

I like to put racing game on a spectrum where on one side is arcade and on the other side is a simulator. Far on the arcade side I would put mario kart and on the other side I guess you can say that games like Assetto Corsa, rfactor, iracing. I tend to put codemasters games more in the middle of that spectrum with them starting off more on the sim side and slowly moving more to the arcade side. Grid autosport seems to be moving more to the sim side of that spectrum which I welcome.

hell no. While i did some times like kicking the back end around the mountain, it just didn't feel like the original GRID. In actual drift modes, sure why not. But driving on a race track I wanted actual handling. Not a NFS hot pursuit/MW 2012 feel

Thats what makes the game shit. You cant do that shit in real life without flying of the goddamn track. How ever in in Gran Turismo 6 you cant do this shit because it is more of a SIMULATOR and is more REALISTIC. More like REAL WORLD. Playing Gran Turismo takes skill and you need to learn. Just like if you were to became a real race driver. Unless youre playing with all the assists on. And what do you mean by "standard cars suck"? You dont like it that you have to start your racers career from scratch? You dont like it that you arent given the fastest ferrari right away the game starts? Or is it that you hate it how you need to purchase parts and customize your car? If thats the case... Lets try to explain. By doing this there are A LOT more ways to tune and set up your car unique. You can tweak all the little things which you could do in a REAL CAR. And a lot of these changes work as they would in a real car. Or at least some of them work right. You still can mess up the physics pretty badly when fucking up with the set ups enough. And last thing about saying they release "same game" every year? Look at the earlier GRID. Dont seem that different eh? Same shitty turn physics as in ther previous one. Almost every major gamehouse does this. You know why? Because making a completely new game engine and all the physics would take many years of job. A job they are doing meanwhile they "spice the old recipe a bit" and sell it to the people. Giving them more funds to the longer project. I agree this is really bad for the gaming industry in overall but it is what it is. And nope I personally dont play GT6 so dont start calling me a fanboy^^ I generally like playing racing sims. Mostly on my computer. I even used to play the first GRID occasionally when it came out and it fun to fool around but not giving the "race driver" feel. Not by a long shot.
