@@Richard_Gonda If your from anywhere other than generally NZ or aus you probably haven't heard of it. But down here on this side of the world, Bathurst is our spa. Or our , Daytona 500 in a sense. Bathurst is a track in Australia that's found a place in most Motorsport lovers hearts. Great track. Leads to very fast speeds, hard corners close walls. Can be verrrry unforgiving. One mistake can ruin everything. Amazing track. Hands up to whoever thought it was a good idea to turn that road, into a track. Stunner

For online, is it similar to grid 1 or 2. For instance, if you only want to race touring, you go in a touring lobby and vote on one track per race unlike grid 2 where everything was combined into a mess (3 events per session)

Just thought I'd let you know, the top speed of the V8 Supercars at Bathurst is a bit of an exaggeration. The way the cars are geared at Bathurst limits their top speed to about 292 KM/H not the 300 KM/H that everybody boasts. Thats why when they show the telemetry at the bottom of the screen on TV, the speedo always hovers around 292-293KM/H when they hit about 7500RPM.

I live in Bathurst and thats the best version of the track I have seen very realistic except maybe the dipper is a bit more severe in real life width looks right .. great better than gt6 . ill be checking this one out ,, thanks

Hi Jeff, check out iRacing's version of Bathurst - it was laser scanned (pre-repaving) and isn't so much a 'version' of the track - but actually the track. Cheers.

AZVideo108 Yer your probably right didnt notice the crowd thing before .. went for a lap around in the wifes new xr6 .. last week none of theses games can get it dead right,, its much tighter and steeper in reality ,, the cutting and dipper ect ... but after re watching it I agree the gt6 version is closer to the real thing ,, it felt weird after racing it in Gt 6 a lot .. ,, we used to race billy carts and skateboards down through the esses as kids back in the seventies .. great track

Davon Webb can you tell me did you watched this video. Real V8 is nothing like this car, every corner AI is taking sideways and in a big way. Watch a race of V8 Supercars and you will know it . total acrade .... not buying

This has nothing to do with the realistic driving in this game like some of you guy's making seem like. This game mixes between sim and arcade so that it can cater the majority of those of each side that "may" be interested in the game. I don't care if it's arcade because I'm not those that deviates "arcade" physics/handling a bad thing IF the developer knows what they're doing. To me Codies did a good job making the game enjoyable for those doesn't seem one sided on either simulator or arcade.

Dont open the differential you actually want to lock it to about 80-90 on this game handles better when you dont have traction control on, if you have traction control on then it really dosent matter it aint gonna help either way.

no other game of this type has has given me such a hard time regarding the handling of the cars. I basically wrote the game off for this reason and because it felt for some reason horribly slow compared to previous Toca games. After a lot of time playing however I've done a u-turn on this aspect and enjoy the driving rather a lot. Hated the bloody thing but now it's been the game I go to for touring cars at least. I think I shall always prefer older versions such as Toca1 on PSX and the original xbox versions but this is a lot better than initially thought

Wow it doesn't even look like Bathurst at all, skyline is about a mile long and doesn't even "dip", also just wondering does this game have tracks that the V8's race on like Sandown, Adelaide, Surfers Paradise,Hidden Valley ect? It would be nice to have a V8 supercars game maybe they could combine it with DTM and the BTCC and other race championships from around the world even if the tracks aren't perfect like this game, but the cars where more realistic than this game, not a drifter is what I am trying to say.

I know they're really old games, but check out the TOCA Race Driver games - They're pretty much what you described. I used to have TOCA Race Driver 2 on the PS2, which I used to play all the time around 2004/2005, and that had licensed V8 Supercars and DTM, and a ton of BTCC tracks. Pretty sure there was a TOCA Race Driver 3 released a couple of years later, although I never played it. Can probably download them for free from somewhere or buy a CD for next to nothing.

After v8 supercars 3 (toca 3) they stopped making the game with all track and real cars because the licences got too exspencive but code masters have the money now so they should make a new one with purely v8 supercars
