GRID Legends is out on February 25th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC. It's the first title in the series after Electronic Arts' acquisition of Codemasters and as such offers a number of new features and improvements over GRID (2019). I just started playing last night ea play pro, and I'm liking the nemesis system, every race so far when I get close to my nemesis it activates without me hitting them again. It's awesome that they don't automatically forget after each race.

Well I have Grid Legends on STEAM for my PC. It is a nice Arcade-ish racing game and is similar to my other 2 GRID games. I enjoy GRID legends and when I am not doing any serious SIM racing games, I bring up this game for entertainment along with my many other racing type games. I do not do the Career mode, just select a car, a track, and go racing. thanks for the video. take care.

So far I’m having a ton of fun with this game but n ps5 with a Logitech G29 and shifter it’s a huge detached from what I’m used to with automobista 2 ‘Assetto titles forza and gt7 pretty arcadey but I love it I wish there was a sim that looked this good

I remember a Demo on the Xbox 360 where it had 3 race types, but there was a drag course where you had to drift around the whole track and points would be added as you drift. You could combo turns by doing a break-slide and keeping your drift going, but If you stop your drift your points get added to a total or if you crash you lose all your combo points. Getting to drift around the entire course without crashing was a hard challenge but actual doing it was very rewarding. I never bought the game but I had so many hours in the demo just drifting this track to perfection. Do you think the new game will have this same style? Most new racing games dont let you combo drifts like that. Havent played Grid 2019 not sure how that one was.

I never played the original Grid on PS3 and 360. But I have Grid 2019 and it was amazing. The perfect balance of arcade and simulation. It felt like both Gran Turismo and Forza Horizon mixed together. I have just pre ordered Legends yesterday so can't wait for this one.

It's the closes racing to toca race driver now that's a racing game that should be re made at the time 2002 -3 the damage the drive feel was amazing on ps2 and OG Xbox consoles

I've just got this game on Xbox s version and I use a high speed monitor but it still keeps screen tearing I got to pro tier just about it was undrivable, have I got something set up wrong? Or my internet is bad idk but if I or they can fix that its awesome has tough ai good tracks etc and it has worked fine before no screen tear but now it's just annoying.

So far I like Grid Legends (10 hour preview) and it's definitely not a sim but seems to have a good flow to the events. Looks good on Xbox One and it's not trying to be a true simulation but is enjoyable. Still miss the original Grid

These game developers have no shame. GRID Legends looks identical to the previous game. Same graphics, sounds and tracks as before at least from all game demos I've seen here on KZbin. Nemesis mode is laughable. One touch of an opponent and you're an instant nemesis. That story mode is sad. It reminds me of the Need for Speed games of early 2000's. They need to make a remaster of the very first GRID game. That was the very best game of the series.

So if you buy sthe standard Edition, you must pay for the DLC. Not a big surprise from EA/Codemasters team. Meanwhile GT7 launch with 420 Cars and they update the cars, tracks and the race events list in the game for free. The free word in EA's world is forbidden. But enjoy the game.

The main area they need to address is multiplayer. Both Grid 2019 and Dirt 5 had some of the most underhwelimg and boring Multiplayer design in gaming history. They've already taken the first step by adding Crossplay to Dirt 5 - good start. But a lot more needs to change, There needs to be some sort of grind in multiplayer. In Grid 2019, you're just jumping from one race discipline to the other without much of a plan. They need to let you level a car up and get better with it. Car familiarity is non existent in Grid 2019. You should also be able to play a particular discipline of your choice without being forced into disciplines you don't want to play. If you're playing COD you can chose to play TDM all day and nothing else. It should be the same in the racing genre.

This game has everything to go right, from what I've seen the gameplay, the background of the screen and the scenery are fast in movements, the gameplay is easy in the part of keeping the car on the track without losing control, including the easy-to-maintain curve drift the car in the curve without losing the high speed exception, it is as if the game were a simulator and at the same time an arcade, because what gives pleasure is having an arcade-style game, that gameplay that gives you pleasure to play in not being difficult while maintaining high screen speed. Summarizing from what I observed in this gameplay, it follows a NEED FOR SPEED (RIVALS) style in the style of a ferrari f12 car. And speaking of NEED FOR SPEED RIVALS, this game is from 2013, apart from the bugs it's the best cat and mouse game, if electronic arts is smart and creates a NEED FOR SPEED RIVALS style game, with the same gameplay, it won't be for anyone, it will be the newest competitor in the arcade-style racing game market. Understand one thing GRAN TURISMO can be beautiful in the graphics, but its gameplay of keeping the car on the track in a curve with a half-slow screen is shit, garbage, it doesn't even have drift and if it has it's very bad to keep the car skidding hitting walls a lot. That's why I play NEED FOR SPEED RIVALS to this day, but this time I'm going to give this GRID LEGENDS release a vote of confidence

I was so disappointed after the last Grid as the original was one of my favourite driving games, at the time , amazing crash damage, collisions made you feel like Tom Cruise in Days of Thunder (yes I’m that old) and I don’t know how to describe this properly but the cars connection to the ground just felt great, again more big chase scene in a movie but there was a connection and thrill to it. I also liked that it wasn’t pure arcade but not pure sim, I guess that’s the TOCA heritage, so there was a degree of skill required. So when 2019 game was coming out I was very excited but when I played it it just felt a bit soulless, that thrill was gone and seem to veer heavily on arcade…would love to know if it’s the same as 2019 but with better graphics, more cars, tracks and better AI or have they remembered the roots of this game and brought a little TOCA back to the series….obviously the latter would be my preference…love the vids sorry for the long comments

I play the full gamut of racing games from full on simulators like iRacing (I have a full racing rig) to arcade style games like Forza Horizon (I use an Xbox Elite 2 controller) and I can tell you GRID Legends handles like a wet potato covered in rancid lard with magnets attached to the sides of the cars that will ensure you smash into the sides of the course. Every. Single. Time.

I was very disappointed with GRID 2019, it really was a downgrade in every single way to previous games. GRID Legends seems to look a bit more promising with its features, but I really hope they went back to a more intuitive and less finicky handling model. Also hope the car classes are balanced well enough for online, something 2019 failed at too.

Finicky handling. You're given a choice for tuning the car. You were supposed to go into the menu and do a lot of adjusting the controller. 95% of users didn't tune the game at the menu. You spend hours adjusting the controller and it makes the driving all your fault. Once you adjust the controller about 50 times, you'll realise the cars is supposed to skid when entering a corner. The brake bias adjustment gives you front wheel skids or both wheels skids or rear wheel skids. Adjusting the controller limits makes things superior to all other car racing games.
