The fps performance can vary greatly based on track, number of AI drivers, your position in the race and mainly the weather conditions. I tested pretty much extreme case. Those who want to compare performance - these were settings in custom mode: Track : London Route : Westminster Weather : Night storm Driver count : 22 Also don't compare with iOS version as we don't know the exact internal config of the game there. So don't start 8 Elite vs A18 Pro crap here. I will later test the limits of 8 Elite by cranking the game to the max graphical fidelity by editing the config file.

I saw Dame Tech's video with Red Magic 10 Pro… On his video, the Red Magic uses approx 10 watt for steady 40 fps on Performance mode. But, on your video the iQOO use less power for 40 fps. I think the game is not fully optimize for every devices…

If you play a game like, for example, let's say Genshin Impact on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 8 Elite, both at same resolution same max graphics and framerate -> then 8 Elite will be cooler and give more stable fps.

I think GSR2 and many other non AI based upscalers like MetalFX are just forks of FSR. Grid has MetalFX upscaling for iOS but I don't see any FSR in the preference file for Android. The only upscaler item I see in the preference file is Fidelity CAS (not an upscaler afaik).

Doesn't go beyond 60. Some kind of unremovable cap. Regardless hypothetically if the 60 fps cap would be removed, I don't think the phone will be able to maintain temps.

Oh boy, you are expecting 2k?!!! Bro it's using dynamic resolution - between 720p and 900p from what it looks like to me. To render this game at 2k 30 fps we need to wait for 8 Elite Gen 4. The game has decent anti-aliasing, so jaggies aren't egregious. Overall it looks very good on 6.8 inch screen.

​@@techstation365The game is using TAA by default and it's horrible on my galaxy s23 by default . I just set anti aliasing from 2 to 0 and TAA is completely turned off now . There is more aliasing but at least it's WAY more clear and you can see in the distance 👌 I think the base resolution they are using is ok for this heavy title but TAA completely kills the image , try yourself to put Anti aliasing to 0 and you will notice how much better it is .

Bro don't twick Fps setting from 30 to 60. It causes a lot heat and will damage phone display and other components. It can brick your phone. I had done this in Grid autosport and my phone display got damaged. Now When the phone heats up display automatically gets turned off for 10 seconds. And if you continue, it keeps getting turn off and on.

Naah mate. 60 is fine. Trust me I know PCs and mobiles. But 40 fps is a good choice - in Graphics mode. I can 100% recommend setting graphics mode to 40 fps. It's perfectly acceptable and 40 fps improves responsiveness a lot over 30 fps.

Tweaking your fps is not what makes your phone heat up. If your CPU is capable, of let's say, running a game at a stable 45 fps, but is capped at 30, it'll generate the same amount of heat whether you leave it capped or unlock it to 45.

Yea may be, may be not. The preference file has a ton of settings that one can tweak. Initially this game needed on average 10W at performance mode 40 fps... But then they optimized it further and released in the play store, now it's using less than 6W for the same

Wont be optimized more cause if they reduce graphics only than may get good fps cause its already optimized as its using 100 percent gpu usage and no glich in graphics if they reduce like shadow effect or some third party graphics like sans,mud,sunlight shadows may get 60 constant as gpu capacity is 1115 htz not like pc gpu ❤ ipad m4 has way better gpu 1600 htz❤ it can run any game like pc ❤almost

iPad M4 definitely cannot run any game like PC - but I get your point. The game was already improved on release as if you see early access code gameplay, it used 10W on 8 Elite in performance mode that too in less intensive racing scene with less racers. Whereas it used less than 5W for me in far more intense race in far more demanding night storm weather.

Not sure if you are on Android 15. On Android 14, X-Plore will work as it can exploit a loop hole to get write access to the data folder. On Android 15 (on the iqoo 13), it's a pain. You need to use Shizuku to get write access. Search about it

I want to say that after watching your video, I think IOS is better than Android. The same settings of iPhone 16 pro max FPS are relatively stable. Android's latest 8 elite does not look as good as A18 Pro.

No Snapdragon 8 Elite is better than A18 Pro in every way (apart from 10% slower single core). The performance of the game can't be equated to the performance of the SoC. Pure performance can be seen only in benchmarks. And finally, you cannot compare fps unless both games are running at same resolution,same graphical fidelity and the same weather condition (I tested extreme case with night storm and 21 cars, staying the middle of the pack). The fps can vary based on track, weather conditions, number of AI drivers and your position in the race. Also the game runs at 30 fps locked and 40 fps locked as per the developer intended settings. I went ahead and raised the fps cap test the limits.

It was a pain to be honest on Android 15. I recommend you look up Shizuku app on KZbin. If you are on Android 14, you can use X-Plore app. For editing the file you can use QuickEdit.
