Check the zener diodes (right next to the MOSFETs) if you have to change the MOFETs (mine were 11V on a 600W similar inverter)

I added surge protection, grounding, 5A fuses to the outlet the inverter cable connected to, even added over/under voltage protection, and I even added a WIFI socket to be able to control from the distance when the inverter is on, or off. (so that it's always disconnected when there is no sun, or when it's raining) Thing is that 1 day after I added the Wifi socket, the 5A fuses both died, even tho the inverter only worked for 3 days total. Then I didn't have any more 5A, so I added 2A before connecting it again... immediately they both burned out even tho the switch was turned off. I tried it one more time and the same happened. So for some stupid reason I thought in my head that it's because the 2A fuses are too low. So I tested it without adding the 2A fuses... And instantly when I plugged the outlet... boom. Smoke came out, circuit breaker was down for the entire house. I don't know how to explain why the inverter died within 3 days of use. My only assumption as to what I might have done wrong, is that I basically plugged the inverter to grid, while the switch was turned on... Whereas in the manual I believe it says that you must first plug to grid, and lastly turn the switch on. Is this why my inverter died? Anyone knows? Also... if this is the case, then literally if the power goes out and then 1 minute later comes back.. the inverter would die, unless I turned the switch off, which is ridiculous. I also cant remember for certain, but I think I tested the wifi socket on/off while the switch was turned on, and nothing happened. So I don't get it. Really disappointed by this inverter :(

Also I'll mention that when the plug of the inverter was turned off by the wifi socket, I switched off/on the inverter switch in the evening, then in the morning while the switch was turned on, I tried to open the wifi socket so that power goes through the plug, and that's when the problem started I believe. I will be reading the manual again soon to see what it says exactly. But I need help on what I should do next. Should I bother with warranty? Pretty sure they will tell me to pay for shipping, then pay for any repairs. And for what? Only for this to happen again 1 day later? Also I don't know whether this is my fault, or whether this is faulty product. I should also mention that from day 1, when the inverter was working great, I would hear a buzzing sound when it was starting up from 0Watts, I could also hear it when it was giving under 50Watts. It sounds as if it's arcing somewhere inside. Is that normal? Sorry for long comments.

I had one with no power. Turns out the white fuse at the AC input wires was blown. Looks like a resistor. EUR.T10A Im looking for the G015285A2 replacement

What was the inverter doing with the 2 blown MOSFETs. Was it working but low output ?

No it fail to work at all.

Can you parallel 2 mosfets to double the capability?
@monstirz Жыл бұрын
I never tried because the mosfets usually were all that was needed? IDK. The electric company found a way to ruin the repaired and protected grid tie inverter. I just go off grid on some items I need charged now. They can not High amp pulse off grid.

I found the MJE15028-35 for sale cheap which is an upgrade from the tip41c (100v/6a to 120v/8a). They use them in audio equipment
