Played a show in NYC in 92 with these guys. I have this on vinyl from that night. I think it's green? Maybe white. IDK Now I gotta go find it. Found it! It's green. In the sleeve is a little Grief sticker I forgot about. The back of the jacket says it's a limited run of 800 units.

I'm stoned and was listening to upbeat music but it caused a panic attack. I remembered this album and the first notes, have lifted the weight of my chest. One Grief for another.
@RyanGriswold-og7ey8 ай бұрын
Weeds been causeing my panic lately. Its due to the thc only bud...weed always had cbd and cbn back in the day. The thc and cbd and cbn together with the terpines was what caused that wonderful high. We misunderstood and bred the cbd out thinking we were making the weed more powerful untill people started smoking rhe pure thc diamonds then they realized something was missing and started wanting terps with the diamonds..like i said in the begining of my comment. The wonderful effect of weed came frim the effect of the thc,cbd,cbn and the terps all together...13 years ago.or so we had nearly bred cbd out of existance...that would have been horrible. Thc only in doses above 10 percent or so causes anxiety..it becomes a stimulant. I now grow strains that are rich in thc,cbd,cbn and terps and the high is incredible and powerful. The cbd definately DOESN'T ruin the effect..it makes the thc pleasant.

I can definitely see a parallel between this and Obituary's Slowly We Rot and even The End Complete, I left out Cause of Death because it was an anomaly with James Murphy taking Allen West's spot on that album. Is it just me?

please elaborate, im interested in this comparison
@richardaaron44543 жыл бұрын
@@georgecrocs5632 The guitars have nearly the same rhythm tone, probably a solid state amp with a Rat pedal, the low vocals sound alike as well but other bands had similar vocals back then, check out Pestilence’s Spheres for example the vocals are alike but the music is different on the Pestilence album by far. Back to Obituary, I just hear a lot of similarities in guitar tone, rhythms and the low vocals but obviously not the lead guitar, that’s the biggest difference. Here are a few Obituary songs that come to mind and again this is my opinion and I was asking if anyone heard the similarities or if it was just me. @@TheKeefmaster get a clue. Cuz you dont have one . Not to mention a band can have elements of both, but what's worse is youre making this argument about their early stuff, which, besides being how long ive been a fan, (and nowadays know them in person), you're getting confused w/ Their later albums,:which are much heavier on the sludge yeah. Judging by the way you talk im assuming you were too young to have enjoyed this (Sludgy) DOOM classic when it came out. There is more than one (or 2) styles of doom out there too junior. Sludge, not as much unless mixing styles. For example, You think this sounds like EHG? Go get your education before telling others to get their straight-facts crooked to satisfy your newb take on soundz lol If you listen to this or Come to Grief and and cant see the sound shift between those and Miserbly Ever After, and others after, then smthngs wrong. Also btw, this release, (and the 1st EHG album for that matter), predated the term sludge as well, by at least a few years.
@jsheissekopf44073 жыл бұрын
Also, no shit those bands are doom! Wtf is your point?? Thst statement about those bands only makes my points more. Also Sabbath influencing the genre (most notably by the style in a few key songs, ahead of their time) does not make them doom in the early 70s by a longshot. Early sabbath gets lumped into metal now for the same reason, but in their day they were not called this. Go back and hit the books lol.. This is why people from the eras youre expert-posing over, can't stand newbs like you lol Im assuming you dont know what death-doom is then either lol. If you weren't posing your trendy take on this as fact and self appointing yourself as Junior know it all , it wouldnt have even warranted a reply, btw... cuz its not that important..people who talk and act like you are why all genres, sub-genres get played out by over saturation of boring clone bands eventually...
