I am so sorry to hear this Barb, The fact you were able to spend Summer with your family, will also provide some comfort to your mother as she adjusts to her new reality. It was a blessing to have had that family time together, to have those memories. You are strong and your heart is too, esp after having the cream applied to the fresh scar.❤‍🩹 hugs.

I was grieving the sudden death of a dear friend a few years ago, and I had such a pain in my heart. I would experience sudden outbursts of crying. My husband said, "The pain you feel in you heart is where all the memories of your friend are stored." For some reason, that helped. My condolences on the sudden passing of your dad. He was lucky to have a loving daughter like you.
