We did the White Pass Yukon Railway out of Skagway, up into Canada. It was stunning and spectacular. We sailed out of Vancouver on August 28th, if I remember correctly, for a weeklong cruise, northbound to Whittier, then did 4 days land tour. The weather was really good for us. In the mid 60s most days, with only a little rain on our port day in Ketchikan. It's been since 2016 for us and I will say we made lots of great memories. By far, the best vacation we have ever taken.

We loved that excursion! We took it the first week in June and saw three sets of Mama bears with their babies, and really enjoyed the Caribou Crossing Husky center and lunch. Emerald Lake is indeed stunning! So glad you enjoyed the day!

Alaska is so special. Love Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, etc, etc. We went in July during the heat wave a few yrs ago. It was t-shirt weather during the day. Next time we go, I want to go at the start/end of the season when it's cooler. Enjoy your videos. :)

What cruise ship is the best for Alaska, NCL Bliss/Encore, Discovery Princess or RCCL Anthem/Ovation or Celebrity Edge? We sail Carnival and Disney and love the fun events. Just a side note I hate the smell of smoke.
