Thank you for the review! We've already addressed the magnetic pin issue. The new pins have zero chance to of the magnets falling out. The bracket was also designed to fit true 3"x3 uprights since our GR3 power racks now use true 3"x3" uprights. There is a second set of holes on the bracket to allow it to fit more snug on metric uprights.

the evolution of these jammer arms is going from isolated plane of motion, to two planes, to free motion, like were nearly back at freeweights. I give it a couple years til everyone gives up on making these.
@dpremsagarАй бұрын
The potential benefit of jammer arms over free weights is that resistance curve can be configured to be difficult at the top or bottom. For those who believe in lengthened partials this can be helpful.
@raven-19xАй бұрын
Maybe one day one of these big brands can integrate the arms into the functional trainer pulleys to act as articulating arms that use the weight stack.
@WildCatLyfeАй бұрын
Yeah, the point of machines that they take away some of the stabilizer muscles. Which can be a bad thing since you want to strengthen those. But can also be a good thing for those wanting to do rehab or just give their joints a break from heavy barbell work. The problem becomes when these jammer arms are so free range of motion then it’s basically just dumbbells at that point. Machines are also specialized to be at specific angles to maximize the movement, these aren’t, and unless you’re familiar with the angles you might put yourself in a compromising position worse than barbell work. I still want a pair of jammer arms 😆 but maybe not free motion style.

The next feature someone needs to develop for the jammer arms is a counterweight system to help them adjust up and down the rack. I have a set of the Rogue jammer arms that I attached a fitness band to so they are much easier to adjust which led to them getting much more use.

@@time.4174 Crandall is like 3-4 lbs pounds less and rogue is 2-3 lbs more. Prx says 60 but not sure that includes the handle. The crandall lever arms have no rollers so I’d imagine they feel way heavier.
@1999TransAmWS6Ай бұрын
I was looking at those but couldn't find much info or reviews on them. I ended up ordering the Bells of Steel Hydra arms. They lock in position but could also use more holes because the lock positions are limited. I just got the Kaizen adapters for them Monday and have the Gym-Pin Taco handles on the way. Overall I love trolley lockable jammer arms. Seated overhead press with them is now my favorite shoulder exercise. No kicking up dumbbells anymore. With the Kaizen adapters I can start wide and end with my hands together...... absolutely love them. They're also great for shrugs and presses when using the spotter arm mod to put the plates way out in front.

Yes, I want to see your review of Crandall. I want to know how burdensome it is to wrestle the crandall trolley up and down, and if its new 1" only holes work with 5/8" racks. Good review on the griffin. I've seen several jammer reviews now, and I'm convinced most are overbuilt, needlessly. I"m convinced the average home gymer is not a musclehead who doesn't mind wrestling with gear before they do the lift, nor someone who pushes heavy. Where's the lighter more agile gear for most of us normal (or older) dudes? Not unsafe gear, but lighter within reasonably safe limits that most of us lift in?

I don't know if the price point from bulletproof will be worth it. Their VTS is $900 and is just a trolley.
@jasonmckinney3876Ай бұрын
@@joenikiforakis5829 dunno either. But remember that there is a HUGE benefit to being able to clamp your favorite bar with your favorite knurl into the smith clamps. And to then make them independent of each other, as well as be able to use them as a trolley with cable (so it basically replaces the Dialed Motion system). I think the versatility justifies the extra cost. His jammer arms will be able to lock into 3, 2, or 1 plane of motion. To be able to have the handles EXACTLY as to what feels right to you is 100% worth it. To be able to play with all the angles and not be forced into one boring fixed set of handles is worth the expense (although I may rethink that if the price is too high but Larry seems to keep the prices fair). I really want to know what the cable isolator is gonna cost. I’ve been eyeing that ever since I saw the prototype rendering.
@joenikiforakis582928 күн бұрын
@@jasonmckinney3876 Where did you see the prototype rendering? The VTS is really overpriced at $900. The Isolator is $800. These are discounted prices already. I can't imagine their lever arms costing less than $2k. I've seen the handles and they're legit but also I don't see many people taking the time to make micro adjustments to the handles. They'll probably be like $400 too.

Some are saying the Crandall Fitness arms are better than these but the Crandalls locking feature is so much worse than these. With these you have a pop pin on the trolley that automatically pops into place on the rack when you find the desired hole but the crandalls have a pin that you have to slide in manually and I can see this getting annoying when you can’t find the hole all the time and because they’re heavy. For me, the way the Griffins pop into place is a feature that can’t be overlooked and is high on my list of jammer arm must have features.
