Anytime I go to a different task or to desktop, the wave file pauses when it's playing, and I have to start it from beginning again. How can I fix that solution?

would this be better for mastering a track than pro tools LE? so far ive used pro tools for everything but if this is better for mastering to a good volume without peaking then im intrested. (im a bit new to the whole mastering thing.)

@remix220remix220 Not all of us have $100 to blow on software that takes hours of time to adapt to the interface and learn how to use it to its fullest extent. Having said that, you get what you pay for and this definitely looks like a quality sound creation program.

Hi all, I just started using adobe audition 2, but I'm facing a problem, was wondering anyone else has this problem. It happens when I click the record button, the recorded wave out has this 'timely' cut, almost like a metronome pause, then resumes recording (so i get a sudden dissapearing jump every now and then). without recording, the mike works perfectly fine. Anyone gets this

Anytime i try to drag a beat into audition so i can record over it the beat wont show up in multi track or edit view :( when i drag it in it asks me to interpret sample format as, and i click ok. after i click ok it shows up on the left in the file thing but i have no way of actually putting it on a layer. CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE!!! im desperate :(

Hi all, I have 3.0. Is it possible to select more than one track into edit view? Lets say a bass drum is dead on, but the bass guitar is slightly ahead or behind. Can you have both tracks on the screen so you can see the bass drum attack and then adjust the bass not attack by sliding it into place. Anyone know, thanks for the help.

@konjunktion26 Yeah, But first of all, Adobes a company, can't blame 'em for wanting to have money, and though I do agree that the price is a bit much, on the whole, I'd still pay more for it, Especially if you compare Cool Edit to what it is now, and how much better it's gotten.

it's amazing what happens when you put Adobe Audition in the hands of people that may or may have never had access to toolsets in Adobe Audition, it blows the doors off a lot of what's available anyway too bad it's like $1000 i think everybody that likes music should have Audition

what the fuk?? Cubase isn't dead at all. I know heaps of my audio engineer friends who use it. I actually use Audition as my main program every single day... But the vids I've seen on Audition 3 there's hardly any new features at all. No point upgrading until there are new features I actually NEED.

hey i got a question, what program should i use for electro-lounge editing? I'm club dj and i'd like to start producing. I already tried ableton, reason, logic express and audition. But the are all a bit to expensive.

How the hell do you add new VST instruments? I have some East West stuff I'd love to use in Adobe Audition but the menu looks like its broken. There's no option for adding new ones or even "locating" them.

@CrazySean you obviously dont know anything about music production software, audacity cant even support a midi controller, cant freely use vst , and the mixer in audacity is just a game..

This is fine. It's a full featured DAW and handles VST and VSTi plugins. I would look at some free DAWs like Krystal or Reaper before jumping into this or any upper line program.

you gotta make it a midi track, click on a track go to "Insert" up on the top menu and select midi track. Then you right click on the track and select sequencer.

Yes it is good for bedroom recording but I would make sure your Audio card / Interface has ASIO drivers and your laptop has a decent amount of RAM.

Unless the recording separated the instruments and vocals (which is very rare), you can't do it.

Forget the hype from programs such as PRO TOOLS, this program has everything you need; and with some elbow grease your quality comes out DIAMOND clear. I've been using this program constantly, it user friendly, inexpensive, and best of all: IT WORKS! I recommend this to any musician, of any genre. And always remember, it's not what you have, it's how you use it. So unless you're signed to a million dollar contract on a major label, Adobe Audition is all you need. Wow I sound like an employer.

In Adobe Audition, click File|Extract audio from CD. Select the track you wish to be extracted/captured. It's a digital audio ripping, no need to set windows volume levels. Hope this helps.

Multi-track editing is basically editing individual tracks of a song (if you have multiple tracks, i.e bass, drums, vocals) and mixing, I guess in this context it's simply put, making it sound good and clear.

This is not only a very detailed, effective & adaptive software, it's also very direct, user friendly & a very impressive feature I have found is how easy & quick it is too Master a song! True, it was based on 'Cool Edit', but Adobe have added what was needed to make this a truely Proffessional Software. If your not sure, download the Trial version from their website now. I have used Audition for only 1 week and I am blown away. It runs like a dream with my Profire 610 interface even with loads of VST and effects. (unlike Sonar) Its very easy to pick up (unlike Sonar) and lets you create without the headache. I Make my basic backin tracks in Reason and then rewire to Audition to add vocals / Guitar and master. mwah mwaah mwah!!!!

I had this for a while, but I actually prefer the much older Cool Edit Pro 2.1 edition of this software. If you have appropriate hardware, this software is just as good as anything.
