From being at the game, Ipswich started well and deserved the lead on the balance of play in the first half. Well worked goal from Cambridge before half time and they were clinical with that chance (first time Ironside broke free off one of the 2 Ipswich centre backs who were having their way with him in the air and strength wise). 2nd half, Ipswich weren’t that great and then I think got nervous in the closing stages which gave Cambridge the ascendancy resulting in the equaliser from a set piece

As soon as the fans sang "0-2 on your big day out" just before their inevitable first goal, and "here for the Ipswich, you're only here for the Ipswich" its obvious things are gonna go tits up. We have no aura, we aren't scary, and unfortunately nothing exciting is happening at Portman Rd this season. We were slow and predictable in possession, lacking creativity, brought 3 attack minded players on who were asked to play defensive roles and who hardly got into the opposition half, and we are unable to withstand any pressure. Top 2 is already well beyond us, and the top 6 is very unlikely when you remember that we've played none of the fancied sides. We've also become a club who's supporters only sing when they're winning. The abuse of the players by some at the end was disgraceful, when 5mins earlier the same numpties were preparing to applaud them off the pitch. A shitty day, poor performance, and terrible result.
