When you read the manga... start with the very beginning, the Black Swordsman arc. You will see some familiar characters. Yes, this is one of the best manga I have read and I hope you enjoy the story as well!

I just want to notice when Guts found Griffith and took him in his arms, Griffith wanted to take Guts's neck and begin to strangle him, but he could not because his ligaments were cut and he had no strength(

I know, I saw the hatred he had for Guts, I didn't mention it because maybe I was just crazy but yeah he really was trying to strangle him, but he had no strength to do so.

I have finished the series by the way, I didn't even notice the narrator was present in this episode when the God Hand was finally introduced. I caught his voice later in episode 24-25. :)

If u watched the whole episode, i think u must be pissed... For consolation, Rickert bitch slap Griffith in front of his new army and princess when he become teenager . . . And also watch the 20 min ending of the movie so get to figure out how guts got out

As u saw this episode with guts prospective, let me indulge u with my Griffith prospective... . Griffith was in the dungeon alone getting torture for a year with him cut off his joints nerves and tongue for permanent im-mobilise, soaking up darkness he think of getting rescue... But the man who can only rescue him is guts not from only dungeon but also from himself. . He talks about the mix feel towards guts as love, hate, envy, sad etc.. that is like a breakup... U hate the person u get breakup and it hurts like hell, because u love him/her... This is the first time he gets this emotion so he doesn't know what to do and what is it exactly... . Griffith reaching his hand on guts neck... When he saw guts he was so angery that he was trying to kill him, but later on when guts starts to cry he melts and his hand comes over guts hand as if "i hate u but i can't be angry with u" as the double edge sword of hate/love . Griffith watching casca wiping off guts blood... This shows doubt of Griffith what happens after all this days? Feeling betrayed bu guys as he played with his feeling so he made a mistake and now guts took over what was his accomplishment.... . There are more things as Rickert gets saved by the skull knight and the monsters attacked in the camp are some major character in later story

Beautifully said, this is what makes Berserk so good, the deeper meaning behind these characters, the interactions within them. Guts definitely was the only person to save Griffith from himself, to see Griffith fall so far made it so much sadder. I definitely saw how Griffith wanted to strangle Guts at first but then as he saw Guts cry for him he calmed down and maybe thought to himself "I despise you but I still care for you". The double edged sword of hate/love like you said. Yeah and seeing Guts basically come back to the Hawks and leading them after Griffith's mistake, must've fueled Griffith's hatred ever so more. Taking over his accomplishment. Their relationship is one of the most complex I have ever seen, it's what makes them such great written characters.

I have watched a number of reactors and yours is one of the good ones. I am surprised that you have less than 200 subs. Maybe you should watch some more popular series like death note or attack on titan to get that exposure and subs. Cheers :)

@@Dymension The first two movies are just a condensed retelling of the series....a few things/characters are left of the 1997 series are added one character was already spoiled for you in the comments lol the 3rd movie will take you to the eclipse and you can find out what happens right after :). watching all 3 is cool but the 3rd movie is most important. same voice actors for the most part they came back to reprise there roles

You feel bad for *Guts* in this situation? Why do you keep going on about Griffith being skinny? Literally the very least of all of his shown and stated problems.

What's wrong with feeling bad for guts? He obviously feels extreme guilt for what's happened when he never intended things to go down that way.

ImaRealOne_007 For lack of a better phrase, it strikes me as funny. Yeah, this dude's crippled in just about every way for life, much less the year of maximized suffering he just had, but man I just feel so bad for this other guy because he must feel so guilty about it. I'd say I feel much worse for Casca here and Judeau than Guts. They staked literally everything on a lost cause and it left Casca outright catatonic for a while as she couldn't even hand over the keys. Edit: It is not that there's anything wrong with feeling bad for the protagonist, but he really isn't the person who was suffering in the absolute worst ways Imaginable for months on end. He may have cried and felt horrible then, maybe even worse than Griffith ever did in that moment, but have you never heard of, 'Too little too late'?

@@elelyon431 Guts didn’t force griffith to sleep with the princess, which is what got griffith in trouble. None of this is guts’ fault, it wasn’t even his responsibility to come back and save griffith but he still did. And it’s rational to feel bad for guts because other characters are making him feel guilty for something he didn’t do.

@HIHIHU AHAHAH He bet his life away and backpedaled on that when it was convenient. That's not exactly cool. Ultimately it was his responsibility to die where he was destined to, such is causality. Guts never saved anyone; everything is predestined, such is causality.

It was not his responsibility to die, he’s saved multiple people multiple times, for example, casca, literally many times, he saved the band of the hawks and Griffith. “Such is causality” ok and? That literally still doesn’t make it guts’ fault and if causality is your argument then why are you mad at him in the first place, because clearly he had no choice if causality is what controls them.
