However, I've recently hit a dead end, and I was looking for a solution on social media. Then, by chance, I found you, who I often saw on Scratch, on KZbin. If you have a non-integer speed and use the repeating function and all the rest of it, things will be slightly unstable, but I guess that's negligible enough for you. If you have a text sheet for the vector graphics, you can probably use a mechanism based on rigid lines and calculations rather than pixel grids, which would be far more precise, but we haven't and probably can't cover that at the moment. TFW you use the same sentence structure twice in a row: *bruh* (-_-)

What if Griffpatch made a tutorial on how to make a game in Scratch similar to a Cuphead Boss Battle. But instead of playing as a cup, you could play as Scratch Cat, and maybe even fight an evil dog boss.

I made the player blink every once in a while by making a when green flag clicked, forever, if pick random 1 to 100 = 1 then, switch costume to Mid, wait 0.05 seconds, switch costume to closed, wait 0.1 seconds, switch costume to mid, wait 0.05 seconds, switch costume to open. Outside of the if loop, I put wait 0.05. Seconds. Also, if you make his eyes closer together it will make him look cartoonish and cute. If you make him look ALMOST cross eyed, it makes him look even better!

At the start I was like oh that’s easy but then when you got to the part abs of speed y. I didn’t get anything Maybe this is not for me :( I still like your channel.
@griffpatch3 жыл бұрын
Yes I wish I'd explained that bit better - Let me try: • So if speed y is -10, then the player is about to travelling down by 10 pixels. • Instead of doing this in one big jump, we want to do this in 10 small steps of -1 pixels. • Steps should always be positive... you can't repeat over -10 steps , so we need to change our speed y of -10 to be 10 steps... • We can do this with abs(speed y)... since abs(-10) = 10... It just removes the minus! • Then since steps = 10. We can now divide the full distance we want to travel into that many equally sized smaller chunks: • Change y by "speed y" / steps. (This will be -10 / 10... Which is -1 - Ta da!!! )
