Red snapper is probably my favorite. Never grilled snapper but I’ve been grilling the same catfish filet recipe for well over 20 years. What makes it so good is the spiced pecans that we top them with after my wife toasts them in a CIS. Lay that filet and pecans on a bed of rice and bon appetite!

I do love grilling fish. KZbin however does not promote my grilled fish recipes. They do a good job on this one but this is not really a recipe video. I love using pecans or almonds on fish.

I bought this as my first propane grill. It's been a fun, learning experience kzbin.infoUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . I think it's a bit too pricey after looking at other grills, but it wasn't hard to put together and it works really well. I love the side burner option for heating food during a power outage. I have an electric stove and live in the South (Hurricane season), so this was a bonus. I also bought a cover for it and it has protected it nicely (the Char Broil All-Season Grill Cover 3-4 Burner: Large). Every few grill sessions, I take the rack (or grate) and burner covers off and clean them with a non-abrasive scrubby and mild soap. I wipe the excess off of the bottom as well, taking care to avoid the gas and pilot lines.

Hi johnny, Great video! I was surprised since I’m used to cook filet fish like you shown. What is different is my way of seasoning. I put here my suggestion in case you’d like to try it. prepare the filets like you shown, drying them, then take some dry bread (I use the bread I live in paper bag for some days). Trim it using a mixer or similar, you have to create some bread crumbles. Then add some extravirgin olive oil to the bread and mix it. the bread crumbles must be like golden. Then you can add your flavors. I use fresh parsley, dry origan, a tea spoon of grated parmesan cheese (or your favorite one), if you like some garlic as well. Mix it up very well (with a mixer) and use this panure to season your filets like you’ve done in the video. Grill like you shown, inderect and then direct. Man, beleave me they will be amazing. Thanks again for your video from your italian friend! Cheers Roberto

Great video!! Please stay away from canola oil canola oil is machine oil that's been refined one additional step to make it usable for cooking. Don't want it was used to lubricate tanks guns and all the war machinery after the war was over they had a big industry with canola oil and nothing to do with it so they didn't want the company's to be out of business because all their employees will be out of work and come up with a way of refining it an additional step and using it for cooking but it's very bad for you especially if you use it over a long period of years. I would only use canola oil for ordering my gun. I would never consume it. It is refined machine oil you don't believe me you can check into this. I use spray olive oil. And high quality olive oil that you get out of a bottle extra virgin for all my other cooking needs. I make homemade fried potato chips thin-sliced on a mandolin using a cast iron pan with a wire basket so I can lift all of them out and I use olive oil. I don't use one of those electric deep fat fryers with your nice but it takes too much Olive Oil. There's nothing like homemade potato chip fried in olive oil and salted with kosher salt and a little fresh cracked pepper if you like it. They taste so much better than store bought chips many times I get store-bought chips and they have a rancid oil taste. They just aren't good. I know what I got in my homemade ones and they taste really good olive oil doesn't impart an oil flavor it just tastes good because it is good and healthy too. God Bless You and Yourn, Jimmy in NC....
