And Hunter Hearst Helmsley is a great name. It has a regal touch which worked well with his snob persona. And, when it was time to evolve, he had the benefit of like many other well-known wrestlers (AA, JJ), to go by his initials.

Jericho was great at character modification as well. When the Y2J gimmick became stale after his return in late 2007, he turned heel on Michaels and had an incredible feud with him. It brought something totally new to the table in terms of his character, mannerisms, demeanor, and promo style.

Yes and no, whilst it's heavily based off the WCW character, it was decided he'd be turned New England American as Vince thought it would be impossible long term to make a French Baby-face, especially when Triple H can't speak that language despite having a French-Canadian last name (He has ancestors from Québec)

@WrestlingSmarks
@WrestlingSmarks 3 жыл бұрын
Actually that makes it more gimmick infringement. It means they took Triple H's entire WCW presentation and simply changed the name. That was the basis for their own lawsuit against WCW when Scott Hall was still doing Razor Ramon things (despite him also doing that in WCW first as Diamond Studd).

Pretty sure he got the gimmick from Lord Steven Regal and the Blue Bloods since he tagged with him briefly in WCW. Later he stole Shane Douglas's look and promo style. I say stole because it's pretty blatant and obvious. Also "the game" was supposed to go to Owen Hart but unfortunately he passed away. So to say HHH is original and full of ideas is straight up laughable.
