Love good ol JR! Been watching him since I was a kid in the territories days! Followed his career from then to current! Now watching him on AEW! By the way I got goosebumps watching MJF win the title last night it was one for the ages! MJF truly is a talent for the ages his promos remind me of the great old school promos of the day reminds me of The Late Great American Dream Dusty Rhodes and Ric Flair! I think that’s why MJF is so loved by the fans he has that old school God given talent!! The MJF era has officially begun and I hope it last for a long, long time! Love him or hate him you can’t deny his talent! His reign has begun! He deserves it!

When we look at “the 80’s wrestling “, we have to keep in mind it was a different time. Something may seem silly or cheesy now but at the time was what worked for there audience. Also the tv ratings have changed from g to I think pg-13. That’s a huge difference in allowable content. Example arn Anderson didn’t say piss ant in one of his promos and dicided to change the words in his promo. Now slowly curse words are allowed on tv. “Different times” “The Dusty finish” McMahon used his heels and tossed them to the side , meaning they lost clean over and over. The Dusty finish allowed heels to keep there heat . Baby face territory vs a heel territory. Wwe vs wcw

First clash I ever watched (not sure what one it was flair vs Garvin in a cage) was on VHS and the first time I was exposed to the NWA . (In my neck of the woods Ontario Canada) we got WWF and UWF . Man I tell ya I liked Clash so much I went back to movie store and rented it again. I just wish at the time I had access on T.V to the other territories

Never had a flair/garvin cage match at a clash show. And don’t think early clashes were released on vhs, atleast in full show form. You’re probably remembering the starrcade 1987 vhs. Awesome that you came across the NWA vhs despite never being exposed to their tv. And crazy how watts was on the air in Ontario despite never running live events any farther north than Tulsa, OK

I enjoy yourself (JR) and Taz together they give the most authentic sports broadcaster vibe. X is fun with Taz, Paul White and Mac Daddy are great together on Elevation and again portray a serious expert sports analtyic vibe. And dont forget Caprice Coleman i enjoy his work to!! (Sorry Schavione i wasnt a WCW kid)

when you roll through the horrible production it's no wonder bischoff was able to grab power. it's one thing when your issues are wrestling and in-ring related but when it's a litany of tv presentation, production, and continuity issues...fuck why even have a tv show
