Great info for someone just getting into smoking and bbq. I will say operating a drum smoker is different than kamado. A kamado can be used to sear with, direct grill, and last at 225 degrees F for up to 40+ hours deppending on vent setting and how huch charcoal lump charcoal is in the grill.

Great overview...and impressive line-up! I will always prefer my offset when I have the time and patience, but gotta go with my pellet smoker when I don't.

Awesome video!! Really informative. I think the kettle is the best option for a family of 3 and under. More people than that, you run out of BBQ real estate quick. 😁😎

Nice overview! I also notice you have both a vertical cabinet style pellet smoker as well as the horizontal "tube"-like shape. It'd be interesting to hear the pros/cons between those.

Was wondering if you could do a review off how you like the pit boss vertical smoker now that you have had it awhile.

Just got the Blackstone pellet grill and griddle combo. Love it so far! What’s your thoughts on it?

I’ve had a Traeger for about 7 years and I enjoy smoking as much, if not more than grilling. But I could never get the smoke I desired. I consider myself a pretty decent pit master and want to take to the next level without the cost and size of the big boy smokers. I just purchased the SmokinTex 1400 hoping to get to my goal and was wondering if I made the right decision. I’ve been smoking for years and am looking for as close to set it and forget it as possible.

The electric smoker has a higher electric bill cost especially if youre running it for extended periods like doing a pork but or large roast overnight. think of it like running your oven for long periods. If you live in an area with cheaper electric costs it might be a great option but if you have higher kwh cost in your area consider something else.

I'm eyeing up the Pit Boss 820D3 or the Pit Boss series 3 vertical smoker from Canadian Tire. Maybe I'll be allowed to buy both ahaha

Grill Sergeant, I'm planning to get my first pellet smoker and I've narrowed my search to 2 with budget constraints in mind. I'm either getting the Pro 700FB1 from Lowe's($399) or the Austin Onyx 1000 from Walmart($497). Would you be so kind as to break down the differences between the 2 and which you'd recommend?

The Onyx lineup is new to Walmart so I would go with the newer tech that it has.

Wow you completely ignored gravity fed smokers like the Masterbuilt 500/800. Just as easy to use as a pellet and way more flavor.
