@@Arcadelife1 You have helped me out in innumerable ways with Grim Dawn - I look for your youtube videos quite frequently. You had a video last year that I laughed until I cried - something about 'How to not Die'. In it your character was killed in Cronley's lair and you ran straight back without toggling your skills back on (obsolete now of course) and showed that as a way to die. I think you called it 'rage dying' or something like that. Still laugh when I think about it. Your content is very much appreciated!

@@costas1010 the Dark One set drops four pieces, each piece only drops from one of the four specific enemies that drop the gear. The drop rate is not 100%. The gear cannot be transmuted. In contrast, Lokarr has a 100% drop chance but he can drop any of the four pieces of his set at random so you may need to farm him way more than 4 times - his set also cannot be transmuted.

Cracked me up - all that running around collecting stuff and completing one of the most unintuitive quests in the game just to get humiliated by that chuckling idiot. Serves me right, I suppose!

@@Arcadelife1 Lokarr got swole with the 1.2 patch. It's almost impossible to not spend most of the fight sundered and he does a lot of physical damage, so armour/phys resist is important. Personally I think the Lokarr's set is over-rated, but I understand people want the XP bonus. Not everyone is as psychotic as I am and enjoys fresh start characters 😜

@@Paikis I am as psychotic. To me the fun of the game is fresh start zero to hero all SSF. Killing Lokarr and/or getting Dark One set is proof that hero status has been achieved. Since 1.2 patch I have no illusions of being able to kill Ravager with a SSF character unless I got lucky and found some end game set blueprint. So Lokarr it is.

Hi Arcade, I've finished all the campaign quest (elite) but I'm not sure which final boss, which you mentioned in the video, I need to defeat to be qualified to start getting this Lokar set from CrossingDevil (I click to the "messy place" but I didn't get anything). I'm kinda lost here, can you help me explaining this?

Props for leaving that battle in lol. Its been so long since I've fought lokarr I'd probably do about the same. What do you think killed you, crit on a sunder?

Sunder has made him a lot harder (in my recent experience). Dodging (using Evade) feels essential unless you somehow massively buff yourself to the point where you can absorb the damage from a crit following Sunder. I've played too much Elden Ring and Dark Souls 3 recently, I'm burned out on dodging ... might have to find a better way (for me) to beat Lokarr all over again.

@@Arcadelife1 It's been a bit since I've played, but my last few hc builds really stressed regen, da, and armor (like 3k+) and still I got 3 very tanky characters flattened so it happens. I understand about the dodging, but yeah it's pretty much mandatory for sunder bosses no matter what the build anymore. I kinda wanna wait till the expansion to really worry about balancing all that though. Don't burn out bro! Crate has a city builder if you're into that sort of thing

Greetings! Not sure if you are still messing around with Grim Dawn, but i have a question regarding pets and usper bosses. Ive been demolishing the game on ultimate with my Cabalist on a pets build (2000% pet damage increase), the entire game was pretty much a joke, pets would destroy everything on sight as im walking by, all the campaign bosses melted in seconds (dps must be about 600k), same for crucible, shattered realm, etc. But when it comes to optional bosses like Callagadra or Lokkar pets would not harm them, i just spent 15 min running around Lokarr while the entire pet army was attacking him and only took 1million health off of him, which makes no sense because a 6.5mil health bosses wouldnt last 10 seconds anywhere else. So my question is: Do pets behave differently in front of super bosses? Bosses have some kind of damage reduction from pets?? Cant think of any other reason. Thanks for taking the time!

@@ricardovillegas3465 Superbosses will have high resistances overall and ultra-high resistances to certain types of damage. Also, Lokarr zone has random mutators that can drastically alter the fight - check the mutator list (top right of screen) to see what they’re adding. Callagadra in Ultimate is just brutal and is impossible on a lot of builds.
