You forgot to mention the hybrid pets that scale of your character bonuses. Damage conversion is awesome in Grim Dawn. Eye of Reckoning from Oathkeeper does Physical/Fire and it's passive Soulfire does Physical/Lightning. One of the new Pieces of gear, Mythical Gravetouch shield, converts 100% of Fire damage to Cold to Eye of Reckoning. The 1h Legendary sword Chillheart converts 100% Physical damage to Cold to Eye of Reckoning as well as global 45% Lightning damage converted to Cold and 15% Physical converted to Cold. These 2 items allow you maximize Eye of reckoning by converting 2 different damage types to a singular third (ie Cold).

Or instead you can use cinder touch and the cyclone helmet to convert eye of reckoning into 100% just lightning like I'm doing. Archon has been pretty cool.

Err, yeah/nah common,(white), items are literally worth like 2 iron and simply not worth the effort of carrying. In fact they seem to stop dropping after a while. I do agree about some of the yellow items that have one or two awesome stats which are useful to your character. Just check as you go. Also, get in the habit of breaking furniture, as sometimes you get drops from that, lore notes, armour etc. Not all furniture is breakable, but you will get to know what is. You may need to hold the shift key to be able to break them if you are using weapon/ranged as they won't be auto targeted.

Is it best to stick with one type of damage ? What do you recommend ?
@Therercher5 жыл бұрын
It depends on what masteries you pick to be honest. But in the beginning it certainly is good to stick with one specific type of damage. There's gear that helps you run multiple types as you progress in levels. In my experience fire damage seems to be really easy to lower enemy resists for. There's quite a bit of devotions that can help lower enemy fire resistances as well as a few class abilities that can.
@AEGISDEFENSE5 жыл бұрын
From what I am learning, its best to have 2 types later game. One primary you stack, and another for those resistant. Right now I have a Witch Hunter (Occultist/Nightblade) focusing on Acid/Poison as primary, and Chaos as secondary. Using Handmaiden of Dreeg build.

@Oroberus5 жыл бұрын
As a new player which has picked up the game + all dlc yesterday and merely played about 4 hours I have to disagree strongly on your opinion regarding crucible mode. It's a way better way of getting a new character started and yields way more xp and gear then just playing the main game and I also have to say, it is really fun too. Sure, you won't get far, on lvl 1 maybe wave 5 or 6 but if you've done it the XP and loot will easily boost you to being strong enough to make it and also clear up to wave 10 which yields way more xp and loot. After maybe 2 oder 3 clears on wave 10 you can easily make it to wave 30 to 40, depending on what exactly will spawn on you. Keep in mind, it also hdepends heavily on which class-combi you're playing though.
