Start with a lvl 1 char in crucible and let it die, you'll instantly be lvl2 and have some items from the chests you get. Also 3 crucible points can be converted to a devotion point (5 times before cost increases)

Or: Start campaign, get note, kill a few more moba for level 2, get AOE Go to crucible, do one run and stop, get level 8, a devotion point and lots of loot. Go back to campaign and start questing.

@@zrevan4262 There is an NPC in the arena side along with merchant and others. Speaking to him offers dialog choice "I wish to prove my devotion => My devotion to the gods" (can't remember exact form). Choosing those dialog choices will exchange tributes to devotion. Note that the amount of tributes needed for one devotion point increases along with number of devotion points the char has. For 0-4 devotion points the cost is 3, for 5 to 9 it is 5 and it increases periodically. Can't remember exact numbers but IIRC after 10 devotion points it was something like 10 (or perhaps 18). So if you are going to get lots of devotion in Crucible it is going to take a while farming.

In my experience the easiest classes to start with (not necessarily easy later on) are occultist, necromancer, shaman and inquisitor. All of them have a tier 1 skill that makes the early game pretty much a cakewalk: summon familiar for occultist, skeletons for necromancer, devouring swarm for shaman and word of pain for inquisitor. These skills make at least early act 1 easy peasy and skills can later be respeced. For instance the familiar may seem weak if it only has 1-2 points in it, but max it and storm spirit and it will just massacre most everything in act 1, especially if paired with hellhound to draw aggro away from it. As for skeletons, they do tend to die quickly later on, but with them early game is pretty much just plain march as the skellies massacre everything. As for shaman, later respecing to wind devils and briarthorn also makes the early game easy. In fact, in one recent game after killing the warden I went straight to the FG area and played almost to the end (killing Dravis and Father Kymon along the way). No second mastery, just briarthorn and wind devils.

If you've beaten at least elite, use a merit and equip all the bonus xp gear you can, then go to the conclave of the three and read all the notes (including the one in the hidden cellar). I believe you can reach level 9 with just that.

2:02 there is also a crossbow and a pet off hand very early on. The crossbow is meh you'll probably find something better before you find it but the pet offhand can be extremely useful if you've been unlucky with drops

was about to comment on this but went to check if someone else did it :) there's also a 1h poison dagger on a corpse in the cavern in Wigthmire called Slithtoungue grimdawn.fandom.com/wiki/Slithtongue also worth noting that if you reload the game all these weapons will spawn again, which might be useful for dual pistol/axes early on!

While all of these tips are useful, I currently make a character, level it to about 25 in the Crucible, and then head off in the adventure. That DLC basically broke the game for me... Thanks for your video!

I thought its better to get the skill your build really needed, like for example: if your build is brimstone, then get brimstone ASAP, meaning take all 1 skill point starting with fire strike until you achive brimstone, then max it.

That sounds like a good plan for fire strike/demolitionist specifically, if you're following a build guide. I wanted to design this in a way that gives players the tools & knowledge to create their own build as they go (at least for the early parts)

I looked for the note by the bridge but I don't see anything that even looks like a note. I think I'm in the right place but since your camera angle doesn't actually show the note I can't be sure. Never mind. I see it was the note from within the keep and you can reach it from outside.

It was stuttering for a few clips because I used the OBS replay feature to record the last 30 seconds whenever something interesting happened. Turns out my computer doesn't like that and those clips came out super laggy lol Maybe it has something to do with what you said, thanks for the advice!

@@PoProstuRylu I believe flamebreaker is just a random drop on the epic loot table, not from a specific area. The one-shot chests have a guaranteed epic, thats probably your best bet for early game. Good luck!
