A +5 Claymore is 140, but that's not cheap. I kill them with 2 hits if necessary, with a one-handed fire weapon and shield. You just need the drink that prevents you from being slowed (can't think of its name for some reason), and to stay away from Halt until you're ready to fight. Step away to kill Halt shards for a few seconds, then turn back to Halt. I think the fiery Partisan can one-shot them too, if I remember correctly.

The first two stage are easy but when I get to the legendary stage I stumbled a lot... I tried it twice but failed...I lost 4 legendary weapons. :( Im really upset... Anti cold damage is important against that boss.

You need anti-cold armour against legendary. You can also use the elemental cream that smells like dead bear but lasts 3 minutes to help, but it's not enough on its own. Before they invented it I used normal elemental cream that lasts 30 seconds, so around 4 per battle, along with scale armour and good weapons - almost always fire weapons since even +5 Espadons barely hurt it. BUT, MOST IMPORTANT - Monastery healing potions to stay alive, at least 20, and you'll burn through them fairly fast too. Finally, the drink in your 2nd slot that prevents you from slowing down, because being slowed will kill you faster than even Monastery potions can heal. At least 20 of them too, and they heal 90 so they help a little that way too. This is how I could win reasonably often without Northern Wolf armour. And make sure your armour is fresh, because it takes a severe beating, and if you lose it you are dead almost immediately. Also, you would be foolish not to have a Luck potion and St. Peter's tincture going, and drag your lucky cat out if you have one. I would bring a couple more St. Peter's tinctures along too, and try to refresh it after the ground spikes are done and the Halt shards are dead. A fire bow can be a good way to whittle him down without getting hit, but you'll have to put a hand weapon in your 2nd slot temporarily to get rid of Halt shards when they show up. Even if you are slowed you can usually outrun Halt himself until it wears off. Also, I would come in with a crappy leather satchel and leave my good Pannier on my horse, so if I died I didn't lose the Pannier too. You can always grab it after the fight when the gate opens up. Just don't leave until you've collected everything you want, because you can't come back in it'll be lost.

I did, since I had one that was almost used up. It's extremely effective, especially with the Monastery potions increasing your attack speed - you hammer him fast. But be ready to switch to something cheaper for the Halt shards.

It's one of the most difficult games out there, but some people can slowly improve without spending. I paid for the Scarlet Angels membership for about a year, but now I can do most things without spending money. I still pay for Scarlet Hunt extras, because $14 gives you a ridiculous amount of stuff, since I usually get to 50 or close to it.

Am a free to play player and have never spent a penny on this game. It's only took my a year and a half and I dont play regularly that's why it took so long for me. Now even without flaming weapons I beat this legendary boss
