I always think that high gloss black eye are super unnerving if you want to go for something near human. Also maybe paint in a dot of a high gloss metallic(maybe a way based) in the middle could be very very cool.

Great video! I have already printed the model and hope to use it as my Deth Wizards Necromancer. One thing I wish you guys would put in the details is the upscale percentage of the mini you are painting. While it makes sense to paint larger models for an instructional video, there's no denying that the process looks a lot different and can be much more difficult on smaller models. This one must be upscaled by 20% or more.
@BlackChaliceStudio6 ай бұрын
Thank you! This was indeed upscaled by 20% if I remember correctly, primarily just to show how great the details are but also to provide a larger canvas to push the effects further than would be possible on a smaller scale. Just one of the reason 3D prints are so versatile!
Thank you! The pale skin would definitely work with flesh eaters!

also with dirty down if your adventurous apply it to your model then introduce a quick blast of flame. it add some pretty crazy texture to the applied area and you being that it's just a quick flash it doesnt harm the model, atleast in all my tests it hasnt.

killer model, killer video. now to get that effect on the arms with the crimson using a brush would the best be just dilute it and glaze it one? i assume just regular water would suffice.
@BlackChaliceStudio6 ай бұрын
Thank you kindly! For the initial carroburg application yes indeed you can just apply it thinned slightly then blend off the edges with a brush and water. Repeat applications will increase the intensity!

I don't paint grimdark as I paint 6mm epic 40k difficult to translate your tips to that scale. Have you any videos or know of someone who does a grimdark 6mm to 8mm scale? Great video, by the way.
@BlackChaliceStudio6 ай бұрын
Thank you! Painting at that scale definitely has its challenges but I still think a grimdark theme can be applied to a force as a whole. It would be easier to translate over things like armour, walkers, titans etc. Let me see what I can cook up!
@Paul-lt8lz6 ай бұрын
Thanks a lot. Yeah, i agree it does translate. Although I don't really know what I'm doing, make it up as you go along touch. I'm new to painting, so it helps watching videos. It's just scale down everything like streaking with a fine hair touch.
