I can hear poppys contribution in this song. the way the lyrics are sung is very comparable to "time is up" and am i a girl in general. But the composition generally just makes me cry. Shes talking about the mark of the beast AI everyone will be wirelessly connected to when her ex’s chip helps the Antichrist build his kingdom.. that’s why it terrifies you. Because the Holy Spirit is screaming out to you, this song isn’t just satanic like a lot of Hollywood, this one is celebrating the literal coming of the man of lawlessness in the Bible. “We appreciate power”… who appreciates it…. The ruler of the world and his minions. The man who is alive and will sit in the 666th seat in Europe when hes on age. Anyway. The virus opened up many peoples eyes but there’s many still sleeping. HES COMING BACK SOON. You know who I’m talking about. Get your life right because he’s coming first to pick up his kids, and a second time after the future that Grimes mentions becomes manifest. 3 1/2 years of hell on earth. “We appreciate power…. We appreciate power” if you’re not one of the elite like her when his reign comes….. make sure to ask Jesus to remove you before the day of the evil one and the man of lawlessness comes. Anyway. I’ve read revelations through and listened to numerous commentaries on the end times. It’s at the door. In our lifetime…. Aliens (fallen angels), demons, AI, a brave new world. She knows. Her ilk know. Christians know. Do you know? God bless.

I just realized that the Grimes with the plush bunny is the physical human being who is hooked up to the AI and she drops her head because she's entering the game and exiting reality. Then all of the scenes with Grimes and Hana on platforms with weapons are like the character select screens in video games, with different female models and weaponry. Then Grimes shoots Hana in the head, but she immediately comes back to life because she's digital. It's then Grimes realizes that she is not in control and nothing she does matters because it isn't physically happening in reality. That's why there's the scene at the end where Grimes and Hana are in that little box, with Hana's head split open to reveal machine parts, as she's not an actual human being. Grimes then screams because she's trapped in this world that isn't anything like she imagined. The final screen apologizes on behalf of the AI overlords. Overlord being like a duke permitting serfs to live and eek out an existence on a small portion of it, without ever being allowed to own it, but having to pay regular fees and taxes to the said duke. Sort of like how an AI would be in control and essentially own the cyberspace within its control, and would give those who entered its simulations an experience of their choosing, with the ability to do whatever it wants. Including holding users hostage or torturing them. I can't say for sure that's what the narrative of this video is saying, but it just clicked in my mind.
@GaaraFan014 жыл бұрын
Well damn. Great observation.
@Baleur4 жыл бұрын
I think its deeper than that first superficial observation. I think it's talking about how even your "current" human life, while biological, may not be any different from an artificial life, in terms of the mind. So she's like, what are you afraid of, why resist the AI, you're already one, you're not even alive you just think you are because you've got an organic body.
@revenevan113 жыл бұрын
@@Baleur this! I think a good argument is that there's no way for an intelligence to be artificial. If it's an intelligence then it's an intelligence, regardless of the hardware it's made of. If we create machines that self replicate and meet all the criteria for life, and evolve or are designed to become intelligent, then they basically aren't artificial except that we made them. And we don't typically consider things like wasp nests or beaver dams to be artificial just because they're made by a creature. We're "natural," and anything we make or become is a product of our evolution anyways. There's no line to be drawn here.
@okaymiguel3 жыл бұрын
@@revenevan11 well that’s the thing. Carbon based life forms are organic and hence natural. Anything inorganic is deemed artificial or not made via natural causes. AI can intelligent, but if it’s made by someone unnaturally, then it is considered artificial. Edit: there is the exception where a robot (with AI) could be made from carbon based material, but unless is still made, and hence artificial.

Anyone who thought this was a fantasy has been dreaming. The smart ones knew where this was going since the 80s. Why do you think the Terminator movies were conceptualized in the first place? The difference between science fiction and science reality is a calculation of time that in the 1800s was about 100 years, in the 80s was about 40 years, and is now quickly approaching zero.

@@manuelemilio5193 That's up for debate. Interesting stuff with translation! Can say for Russian: there were some minor mistakes here and there, so, knowing Grimes is not bad at all at Russian, was interested who did the transation. Then at the end it not only says that it was done by AI overlords, but the translation becomes even more, clearly deliberately, glitched. So it resembles the pirated games we had in 90's - beginning of 00's, with either weird translation or just plain translit instead of it. Which IMO completely suits the aesthetic. Grimes and her squad are geniuses.

And never forget, she is making pop music. She loves pop music and this new wave of acts trying something different that gets played to more than 4 people in a basement is appreciated.
