Are you guys actually listening? Or just being incredibly uncharitable with what she's saying? There's an entire emotional/insnpirational type thing here, regardless of whether she finds their music ultimately good or not. It's not like she was praising Bieber for having incredible music she loves, but for writing his own shit and not being a product of the industry - I mean she even called him an asshole for crying out loud. And besides all that, these comments about how Grimes is so good at music but she has terrible taste... that might arouse suspicion, in a reflective individual, that maybe, just maybe, the good musician sees something that you don't. Read her tumblr, she takes inspiration from fucking everything and anything and finds the good stuff in dumpsters - that's why she has such a great sound IMO.

This is pretty awesome! I like most everything she mentioned except Bieber. I understand why she appreciates his music though. Overall, I like how her taste is a lot like me when it comes to music. I can shift from listening something like Skinny Puppy to Blink-182 at the drop of a hat. If I hear something, regardless of genre, and I like it then I will listen to it. It's pretty much that simple. One should never be afraid to branch out and listen to other styles of music. You may just surprise yourself in what you end up enjoying.
