Also when he moves it try not to chase the boom. It moves for all planes, just in say, the F-15C you can't see it (presuming you're watching the belly lights).

It's called the "flying boom", the man doing the refueling can move the boom around to get you hooked up

*** Yes, Tankers can run out of fuel. I refueled a Su-33 from a S-3 and I took all of its fuel. Did not come close to topping my tank. I wish we could know Tankers fuel status. Great video!

Grim Reapers If a plane bolters too many times and needs to have fuel. Also taking off with a lot of ordinance then topping off the petrol. A " Tick " tanker. :)

How you be able to fly so smoothly with the A10a behind the tanker?. Even setting trim, the damm aircraft tries to go up or down every second. I can never get it completely stable and, as I accelerate/decelerate or try to maintain course with the tanker, the A10 fights my corrections and become more and more unstable. With the F15 I don't have this problem. It's quite easier to get stable, even without the autopilot O_O

Use the axis tune settings to make the stick less sensitive to small movements. Most people seem to like setting the curvature for pitch and roll to about 20.

I'm having trouble communicating with the tanker in my FC3 planes. Radio menu does not include an option to contact tanker.

Good question. Look in Adjust Controls and bind your "comm" control. Use that control to talk to tanker.

In the A-10 pressing \ brings up comm menu, then get function F keys. The boom comes down but doesn't seem to maneuver by operator to plug me in, just files steady. Also, how do I get actual audible voice comm from tanker??...thanks!

Add a nice curve to your pitch and roll axis - I have the TH Worthog I still use a 4 deadzone with 15-25 curve depending on the module. Only use tiny amounts of rudder when tanking.

something is bothering me when i refuel my flanker d,throttle has a weird line where it either wants to go way faster or way slower-you said its easier than a flanker but was flanker still hard for you to control or no?

Ya same here. My solution is to make the tanker fly faster so it is not near that point

In the Flanker I typically use auto-thrust combined with the AAR FCS mode. I just tap increase/decrease as needed.
